The Well is hosting at a location to be announced. It’s Thanksgiving weekend, erev Chanukah and Havdalah. Commemorate with a night on the town, soaking up all the holiday spirit Detroit has to offer. Board The Well’s Thanksgivukkah Train (charter bus) and travel around the city, hitting all the essential stops: cocktails and appetizers, a private custom candle-making experience at Detroit Wick, ice skating at Campus Martius and the holiday markets in Cadillac Square. Due to the generosity of donors, subsidized tickets are available for $60 per person and include food and drinks, admission to the Campus Martius skating rink (plus skate rental) and a custom 6-oz. candle from Detroit Wick. The community is invited to join an outdoor Chanukah celebration at Adat Shalom Synagogue. The festivities will include a photo booth (in an igloo), DJ Phreddy, a fire performance by Detroit Circus, fantastic activity stations brought to you by our community co-sponsors, and more. There will be a menorah lighting a 5:30 p.m. The celebration will conclude at 6 p.m. with a car parade to Jewish Senior Life in West Bloomfield to light the menorah there. If inclement weather, this event will be indoors. Toys will be collected for the Bottomless Toy Chest if you would like to donate. $18 per car includes a large kosher pizza and donuts, hot chocolate and activities.
