EDITOR’S LETTER
from the editor
As I write this month’s editor letter there is snow on the ground in lower Michigan, after quite a cold snap and a decent snowfall to start our winter season! Hope this weather has you in the winter spirit. The Snowmobile USA Show (Snow Show) held in Novi, MI the first weekend of November was excellent this year. We had the pleasure of sharing our booth with Ryan Spencer #21 Cadarette Collision driver and Chris Reames from MIRA . Every young person that wanted to check out the sled and get a picture with the victory flag – definitely got their chance. These guys love to share the sport and are all about promoting fun and adventure to the next
generation. We had a great time talking with so many of our readers, former writers and contributors. What a privilege it is to be a part of this sport. Thank you to each of you for taking the time to speak with us. Towards the end of the evening on Saturday there was one twenty something guy (so sorry I didn’t catch your name) that walked up. He had just moved to Michigan from Montana. He was asking how to find out about snowmobiling race events… We were thrilled. How often is it that a person can walk up at an event and instantly be connected with THE people that run the events that they are hoping to go to… So Scott and I introduced this young man to Chris Reames and Chris connected him with Ric Federau from the I-500. It was quite an amazing moment.
If you haven’t already done so – I hope you just made up your mind to join us next year on the first weekend of November, 2023 in Novi at the 31st annual Snowmobile USA Show… It’s well worth your time. If you have a question, the folks you need to talk with are there. All you need to do is ask. And, of course all the gadgets, gear, clothing, snowmobiles, accessories, trailers are there for you to look at, dream of, price out, perhaps purchase…and it’s just good family fun.
As always at Michigan Snowmobiler and ORV, we hope this issue has our readers dreaming of Michigan adventures! We look forward to seeing everyone at local events, chapter meetings and volunteering in support of Michigan Snowmobiling and ORVs. To find a local chapter in your area, visit the MISORVA website. From the home page, scroll down to the map of Michigan with the nine different districts listed, then click on your district for a listing of clubs in that area.
Until our next issue, be safe, enjoy the trails and remember to keep our veterans and first responders in your thoughts and prayers.
