TROPHIES OF GRACE WOMEN’S MINISTRY NEW LIFE IN CHRIST INTERNATIONAL MINISTRIES 12401 BYARS RD, GRANDVIEW, MO 64030 PASTOR, LISA WESLEY

GUEST SPEAKER ELDER CALANDRA SUMPTER

Elder Calandra Sumpter, a native of Kansas City, MO and graduate of Southwest High School has been professing Jesus Christ as Savior since an early age. Growing up in church Elder Sumpter was seen exhorting the Lord and impacting lives through song. Proven to be a faithful steward, the Lord entrusted her with a greater anointing. Humbled by the gifts that were being poured into her, she acknowledged the tug of the Holy Spirit and accepted her call into ministry in October 1999. She has since been ministering the Word of God with conviction. A member of Memorial Church International, under the leadership of Apostle Larry B. Aiken and Pastor Olivia C. Q. Aiken, Elder Sumpter’s dedication to the ministry is evident. She works diligently with the altar ministry, minsters alliance and sings with the Vision of Praise Choir and Praise Team. In 2010, following a God given vision, Elder Sumpter embarked on a journey to birth, “Safe in His Arms” a 501c3 non-profit organization. This prevention abuse organization is uniquely targeted to reach young girls ages 12-17 and young women ages 18-25. As a survivor of domestic abuse, Elder Sumpter understands that complete and total healing can only take place through the working of the Holy Spirit. For this reason, she aspired to create a program that specialized in reaching hearts. Through various workshops, conferences and social engagements, “Safe in His Arms” has helped countless young girls and women not only identify even the subtlest signs of emotional, verbal and physical abuse, but has educated them on ways to escape and overcome their troubled circumstances. Additionally, she is the owner of D ’Vine Connections Hair Salon, an atmosphere where both natural and spiritual beauty is cultivated. As the wife of Deacon James Sumpter and mother of five; David, Nakisha, Sadi, Chris and Alleyia and grandmother of two Journee and Givonni. Elder Sumpter is an exemplary model of the Proverbs 31 woman, successfully balancing life as an entrepreneur, wife, mother and ministry leader. She has an Associate Degree in Psychology-Christian Counseling, and a Bachelors in Interdisciplinary studies: communication and behavioral science, whereby she plans to use this degree to further educate and minister to young ladies in all areas and walks of life. Elder Sumpter’s authentic anointing stretches to reach hurting women and youth. Understanding that where you are is not who you are, she declares “I’ve learned how to be content in whatever state I’m in” Phil 4:11-13. Her heart beats for the ways of God and she is on a mission to empower the people of God!

TENTATIVE ORDER OF SERVICE PRAYER WELCOME PRAISE & WORSHIP MINISTRY GIFT SPEAKER, ELDER CALANDRA SUMPTER CLOSING REMARKS

Praying the Armor of God Every Day! Dear God, today I put on the full armor to guard MY life against attack. I put on the belt of truth to protect against lies and deception. I put on the breastplate of righteousness to protect MY heart from the temptations we battle. I put the gospel of peace on MY feet, so I AM ready to take your light wherever you send ME this day. I choose to walk in the peace and freedom of your Spirit and not be overcome with fear and anxious thoughts. I take up your shield of faith that will extinguish all the darts and threats hurled MY way by the enemy. I believe in your power to protect ME and choose to trust in you. I put on the helmet of salvation, which covers MY mind and thoughts, reminding ME I am a child of the day, forgiven, set free, saved by the grace of Christ Jesus. I take up the sword of the Spirit, your very Word, the one offensive weapon given to ME for battle, which has the power to demolish strongholds, alive, active, and sharper than any double-edged sword. I ask for your help in remembering to put on your full armor every day, for you give ME all that I need to stand firm in this world. Forgive ME God for the times I’VE been unprepared, too busy to care, or trying to fight and wrestle in MY own strength. Thank you that I never fight alone, for you are constantly at work on MY behalf, shielding, protecting, strengthening, exposing deeds of darkness, bringing to light what needs to be known, covering ME from the cruel attacks I face even when I’M unaware. In the powerful name of Jesus, Amen.

Watch, Pray, Stand!
