UNG's Student Government Association has continued to grow with an impressive 80% of positions filled and a fully functioning governance across four out of five campuses this academic year. This marks the highest level of success since the consolidation of the organization. Over 30 students serve on more than 20 university committees, including the Presidential Search Committee.

SGA has held several events across UNG, including small sports tournaments, tabling events, and various opportunities for students to destress. Last year, they began the Spirit Awards tradition, and this year they created the new Nighthawks Nine leadership awards.

Looking to the future, SGA plans to add more fun to their voting process, including branding it as Student Voice Week, and by expanding Spirit Night to Spirit Week. SGA is celebrating UNG’s sesquicentennial with a time capsule project that will debut in late April, with the new administration officially taking over on April 23.

SGA has sponsored 366 million in Campus Improvement Projects, including Gainesville's Student Center furniture, ESports Lounge, SGA Office, and multicourt lights, Blue Ridge's hammock village, and Dahlonega's volleyball court lights.
