I am an International Keynote Speaker, Executive Speaker Coach, multi Bestselling Author, co-host of Denim & Pearls podcast, and Host of Mental Shift on The Nee Channel, Philippines. I love to sing and have a habit of breaking out into song. I grew up a military child in the Philippines and moved to the United States at 15 years old. I married my high school sweetheart and we’ve been together for 38 years and married for 28.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS. I generally perform two services.

1) As a speaker coach, I have a gift of crafting core messages and redesigning existingtalks to be more succinct with more emotional impact.

2) In my keynotes, podcasts and books, I remove the veil of inadequacy from the eyes of individuals who wish to be the best version of themselves by having them evaluate what they have accomplished in their past. By embracing their toddler mindset of possibilities they can live unapologetically.

HOW DO YOU BEST SERVE YOUR CLIENTS?

HOW DID YOU DESIGN YOUR LOGO? I love Carol Burnett. She had a cartoon character as part of her logo. When I was looking to have a logo designed, my daughter presented me a drawing of what she thought should be part of my logo. It’s how she saw me, so I kept it.

I am on a mission to launch people towards their destiny by overcoming their inner critic and embracing the story inside them. Through my journey, I’ve discovered that every day is a choice. WHAT DO YOU CONSIDER TO BE THE GREATEST ACHIEVEMENTS YOU HAVE ACCOMPLISHED?

1. As a result of a traumatic brain injury, I was trapped in my body for just over two years. It gives me great joy to be able to walk and talk without assistance.

2. Surviving cancer and continually defying the odds as I continue my battle. I’m thriving.

3. Wrote my first book and did my TEDx Talk while in the early recovery of my traumatic brain injury.

4 I dropped 240 pounds of mental guilt, shame, and selfloathing and found the real me hiding behind the extra weight.

5 Gathering 19 amazing women of grit to join me in my first anthology book: HOLD MY CROWN - Women of grit share stories of resilience.

WHAT WERE SOME OF YOUR BIGGEST OBSTACLES?

Getting past my insecurities that I was not like others in my field. I have a traumatic brain injury. Initially, I had a 60second memory. I’ve increased that memory over time. Time amongst loud crowds, flashing lights, or exhaustion would cause my brain to short-circuit where I lost the ability to speak coherently. My breast cancer diagnosis has caused eight surgeries in three years. Each surgery has caused me to take time to heal before I could speak publicly or be in a group (due to low immunity).

WHAT SETS YOU APART FROM OTHERS IN YOUR INDUSTRY? I am a dynamic, intense, and entertaining keynote speaker. My audiences and clients transform and learn while they are enjoying time with me. We laugh and learn together.

As an Executive Speaker Coach, I bring a plethora of experience. My background in political speech crafting, speaking, and coaching on several TEDx stages and my innate ability to hear a talk once and then, craft it into a more concise and powerful presentation is unique.

I learned to effectively navigate interviews, conference selection boards, and hundreds of stages (live and virtual) through the use of effective communication. My God-given gift of connecting to international groups of people is crucial for long-term success in our borderless world.

I train speakers, coaches, trainers, and influencers to amplify their presence by crafting their talk and stage control by developing their body language, vocal variety, intonation, and message. .

AS A PROFESSIONAL SPEAKER, WHAT IS ONE PIECE OF ADVICE YOU WOULD GIVE SOMEONE WHO MIGHT BE STARTING OUT?

HOW DO YOU BALANCE WORK AND MENTAL HEALTH? It’s not a work & mental health balance for me. With my brain injury and breast cancer diagnosis, it is more like a life or death challenge. Which will I choose every day? To care for me in the best possible way or abuse my mind, body, and soul to create more illness? I choose Love, Abundance, Tranquillity. I Love every moment of each day I am blessed to wake up.

HOW HAS YOUR STORY MADE YOU A STRONGER PERSON What if I told you that one small shift in your mindset could change everything in your world?

That is exactly what happened to me. Emotional childhood trauma, breast cancer, and a traumatic brain injury left me speechless. Every time, I was almost beaten by my circumstances.

But I wasn’t. I survived. I learned that my trauma doesn’t define my life and instead used it as fuel to help light the fire underneath me. I am a woman of grit, resilience, and peace because of the trials I have overcome.

WHO ARE THE MAKERS OF YOUR LEMONADE? Michael Mras, my husband. He has loved and believed in me before I believed in myself. He cared for me through the good and the bad, sickness and health. He is my rock. Mia and Matt Mras, my children, who cared for me when I couldn’t and loved me through the times I lost my mind. Monique and Yvette Guichard, are my sisters who have never abandoned me.

My brothers who are there when I need them, and the handful of dear friends that I consider my extended family. People come into your life for reasons, lessons, seasons, and lifetimes. I love them all.
