Michael Wallace, raised in a suburb of Detroit, Taylor, Michigan, earned a top scholarship to attend the University of Detroit Jesuit High School and Academy. He graduated valedictorian. Michael Wallace was the first person in his family to serve in the military, accepting a congressional appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy in 2014.
