Lake Access to Halfmoon Lake and Locke Lake Colony
Locke Lake has six beaches on Locke Lake and Colony residents may also use three beaches on Halfmoon Lake. The amenities of the Colony are available to Members and their guests. They include a baseball field, tennis court, a six-hole golf course, two outdoor pools, swing sets, covered pavilions, two marinas (one with a launching ramp) and the community Lodge
THE LODGE
Members can rent the Community Lodge for functions such as birthday parties, family get-togethers, and even weddings. Our Lodge has a capacity limit of 50 people. The Lodge has a full kitchen, air conditioning, a gas fireplace, a deck with a lake view, and a large flat screen monitor. Rental fees and deposits apply. Call for available times to use.

Canoe and Kayak Racks are located at North Barnstead Road.
A current year boat sticker affixed to the hull is required. Please visit the office to obtain your boat sticker.
Dunbarton Pond, Bridge and Picnic area is located at Dunbarton Drive.
Marina is located at 335 N. Barnstead Rd. Marina and boat launch is located at 31 Basin Lane.
Boat launch accessible by association amenities access key fob. All boats must have a current years boat sticker that can be obtained at the office.
No overnight mooring at the dock. The dock is for day time stop and go use only. If anyone has an issue at the docks please contact the Barnstead Police Dept.

Halfmoon Lake
Just down the street of 21 Shelburne Lane is the pristine 238 acre Halfmoon Lake. You can enjoy what is known as the “Secret Beach” a short walk away. It is a natural lake teaming with fish and nature and is the water source for Locke Lake. The pond is part of the Suncook River watershed, flowing south to the Merrimack River.
The lake is classified as a warmwater fishery, with observed species including largemouth bass, chain pickerel, horned pout, and white perch. Readers of “Only in New Hampshire” rated Halfmoon Lake as one of the top 10 most beautiful lakes in New Hampshire! It offers a serene environment to unwind and connect with the outdoors.
