Fingers 32in (l) x 23in (w) x 15in (h) foam core on board, hot glue, paper, synthetic grass independent work
I first drew a blueprint of how the hand would look, then a rough outline of the side views. Using black foam core and hot glue, I cut out pieces and glued them down. I chekced every step to see if the perspective was right. Finally, I purchased a sheet of synthetic grass, cut it, and glued it on the board.

Seated Man on chair 24.5in x 18in conte on paper school work
Done in my school's gesture session. Although I tend to gravitate toward rough, quickly done pieces, this piece was completed in 20 minutes and I attempted to be on the cleaner and finer side.
Seated Man 24.5in x 18in conte on brown paper school work
Done in my schools gesture session. Here, I emphasize the roughness of the drawing through natural lines variating in thickness. I really put effort into capturing the movement of the gesture. This was done in 10 minutes.
Thinking Man 24.5in x 18in conte on brown paper school work
Done in my school's gesture drawing session. Here, I explore some new mediums like brown paper, charcoal and white conte. This was all done in 10 minutes. Here, I tried to be as natural as possible where the lines vary in thickness as well as length. I also attempted to capture values by making the lines thicker in darker spots and thinner in brighter spots.
Man Resting Arm on Chair 24.5in x 18in conte on paper school work
Done in my school gesture drawing session. This particuar piece was a 10 minute gesture of a male model. The challenge was drawing the chair and the perspective of the model. I attempting to emphasize the curve of the torso, as well as the stiffness of the model's posture.
Life Art, 11in x 8.5, mixed media on regular and brown paper, school work
All the figure and gesture drawings were done in one minute or less. The faces and hand studies vary from 5-10 minutes. The figures consist of minimal shading and the primary focus is to capture the motion of the gesture.
This piece speaks on life and the importance of accepting what people consider negative. Failiure, death, depression, it is all essential in giving value in the little positive side of life, hence the small steak. Eat Your Veggies 20in x 15in gouache on canvas independent work
