Singing to the Lord New Songs

T

wo-thousand seventeen was indeed The Year of The LORD. Collectively and individually we at Kingdom Impact Theater Ministries experienced the grace, provision and challenges of God.

We Are A.C.T. intl

Despite day-to-day employment and health issues, we had our busiest year ever. To recount our blessings: The Band, Elwood! We got the band back together at King’s Camp.

Performances • Our bookings doubled, averaging two shows and workshops a month;

• We served four new clients: Impact Life Church, Chicago; Focal Point Ministries, Fulton, IL; Kings Camp, Chana, IL; WFX Reach, Raleigh, NC;

• We revisited previous clients Community Church of Barrington; Connection Church, Libertyville; Friendship Village, Schaumburg; Waukegan Community Church.

Productivity • Otrie Barrett Jr. and Marissa Brown each contributed new musical arrangements to our repertoire;

• Our identity as “theater missionaries” allowed us to create new material about aging, communion and morning worship;

• We widened communications via a redesigned website and new promo videos.

Publishing

People • Stephanie McCullough, music improv instructor at The Second City in Chicago, joined our ensemble of accompanists;

• Chos3n held a reunion concert with Aaron Almon, Tim Bourne, Carla Brown . Michelle Perez-Campbell, Vikki J. Myers & Roscoe P. Love

Mike and Vikki each received wide response for their devotional and memoir blogs.

• Vikki’s Facebook posts, #21DangerousPrayers, responses to a Gary Rohrmayer journal, connected with lay people and artists;

• Mike became a regular contributor to Worship Tech Director online magazine which published nine of his ministry development essays;

Our greatest shout out to God is how KIT became partners with Artists in Christian Testimony Intl, our new not-forprofit parent. Bro. Joe Wright of Blapop Records introduced us to A.C.T. in June in Chicago. In November, their board of directors approved our application to become a staff department. And so: • KIT Ministries is part of a network of 273 Christian artists in 32 countries and 35 states, providing us with spiritual guidance and fiscal accountability;

• You may give tax-deductible donations to KIT Ministries through A.C.T. intl, a 501 c (3) non-profit organization; over time this will enable the KIT core — Mike, Vikki and Garlan — to receive salary.

We Have Some Dreams KIT’s creative vision for 2018 includes: • Touring “Freedom Song,” our AfricanAmerican history music-mentary throughout 2018 as a healing outreach in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King’s passing; • Hosting theatre workshops for ministries that wish to improve performance skills; • Increasing our performances of shows, on-site worship consultation, and ministry leader communication training without concern that finances will prevent the gospel from being shared. Please partner with us once of regularly.

• Mike’s blogs, Worship Wonderings and MEMosFromMichaelEdgarMyers, garnered growing readership on WordPress.

Praises • Garlan lost his hearing, regained his hearing, then shouted out loud as a relative’s malignant tumor disappeared.

Vikki “ran into” and with Pastors Mike Neal and Darryl Jenkins & their First Ladies, Dee and LaDawne at Gospel Run

• Vikki’s throat biopsy was negative. • Praise in Photos, Page 2.
