30: An End and New

Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.

- Proverbs 16:3 (New International Version)

Thirty: the number has a wide range of symbolic, cultural and practical significance.

— In the newspaper business, Michael’s first professional career, the end of a story is noted by -30-

— Folks of a certain generation may recall that 30 was the age at which adults should not be trusted.

— Among numerous Biblical notations, 30 was the age at which Jesus began His public ministry on Earth. For Mike and Vikki, 30 is a combination of those meanings. Trust us.

In June 1995, Mike and Vikki did their first evangelical performance outside the U.S. They wrote and performed original scenes for a long Vacation Bible School in a mountain village near Tijuana, Mexico. The trip revealed the impact of theater to educate people about the kingdom of God. The seeds of Kingdom Impact Theater were planted.

So we count the end of 2024 as the start of our 30th anniversary as theater missionaries.

Beginnings

We’ll be spending much of 2025 reflecting on past impacts. More importantly, we’ll build on recent foundations such as those seen in these pages and outline visions to reach current and new generations of Christ-followers as they seek to deepen their faith in an increasingly challenging culture.

This has been our task from the beginning, yet we enter year 30 more intent on adapting modern media tools to educate how Christ has the answers to issues that have intensified in the last three decades.

Among our prayers is expanding our global influence through Artists in Christian Testimony Intl, KIT’s 501(c)3 parent, and training younger actors and social media specialists who can replicate our timetested and newly created scenes.

Most notable about 2025: In April, Vikki will have a milestone birthday which will denote that half of her life has been in The LORD’s service.
