ikki's first solo Christmas script is about motherhood. It’s called "True Gifts: Stories of Birth & Renewal."
The title aptly describes Kingdom Impact Theater Ministries life in 2023: the joy of birth, the pain of letting go, the gifts of renewed growth. G.K., Joe and John: part of KIT’s eclectic worship ensemble from Chicagoland.
We let go of earthly relationships as four members of KIT history transitioned into eternity. We let go of program structures and tasks to prepare for sustainability and identity. Renewal came through birth: Unto us a child was born; a show was formed.
Andy and Jane Trotter hosted Mike and Vikki during Nashville Gathering.
Michelle Perez-Campbell of Chos3n and her husband, Justin Campbell, welcomed a third child, son Issac. New grandparenting roles await Chos3n’s Carla Brown and KIT voice actor, Eric; and KIT musical director Garlan Garner; his wife, Tracey.
A Pastor Darryl Jenkins shares KIT’s story on his “Voices United” podcast.
fter 2 1/2 years of producing our monthly online variety show, "An Evening with Kingdom Impact Theater," we put the program on hiatus to develop an inperson version as we returned to live performance.
Videos by Tonny Kibbet in Kenya expand KIT’S global gospel conversation.
"An Evening with Kingdom Impact Theater: LIVE!” is a quarterly inperson show for local church outreach. We call it a cabaret. People came to the cabaret in two packedhouse sites: Christus Victor Lutheran in Elk Grove Village; Faith Community Church in Carol Stream.
L
ive outreach expanded in our third year of partnership at Connection Church in Libertyville, IL. Partnerships included videos created by KIT social media intern Tonny Kibbet, who Zooms from his college in Kenya; and an eclectic roster of Chicagoland musicians: keyboardists Collin Clauson, Andre De Mesquita, Tracey Garner, Fred Simon, John Barcanic; drummers Cory Tyson, G.K. Gardner; vocalists Michelle PerezCampbell, Vanetta Pinn, Joe Wright Jr., Camille Myers.
T
his flexibility allows Mike and Vikki to visit other churches or supporters for spiritual renewal. Example: Nashville in November for the 50th Anniversary of Artists in Christian Testimony Intl, KIT’s 501(c)3 parent. Supporters Andy and Jane Trotter opened their home for a four-day stay and rest with Brad and Hannah Fish-Trotter. These seeds renew our commitment to be full-time theater missionaries who use performing arts to facilitate #SafeFaithConversations. Join us.
