AboutMichael Benezra, Founder and CEO of Erez Capital, has emerged as a transformative force in the world of venture capital. Based in Boston, his firm specializes in AI technologies across finance, healthcare, and real estate, investing in groundbreaking companies such as Clockout, Real Reports, and Curio.
Before founding Erez Capital in 2022, Benezra served as Consul for Economic Affairs and Innovation to the U.S. Northeast, where he supported over 200 Israelifounded startups and played a historic role in securing the first international mRNA COVID-19 vaccine supply agreement.
His career also includes leadership roles as Legislative Director for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and Research Director at Harvard Law School, where he developed a strong foundation in policy, law, and innovation.
A strong advocate for diversity in venture capital, Benezra co-founded the GK Fund, Massachusetts’ first social impact venture fund supporting BIPOC founders. His contributions have been widely recognized, earning him a spot on the Boston Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 list in 2021.
