Q: Marco, ¿cómo comenzó Mariachi Herencia de México?

Q: Marco, how did Mariachi Herencia de México get started? A: El grupo fue creado en 2016. Fe fundado para compartir la música maravillosa, tradicional, y cultural de MARIACHI por todo el mundo. El grupo consiste de niños/as, de 14-19 años, de las escuelas públicas de Chicago. Hemos tenido eventos por todo los Estados Unidos, MÉXICO y Canadá para compartir la música. A: Mariachi Herencia de México was created in 2016. It was founded to share the traditional and culturally beautiful music of mariachi with the world. Students (male and female) ranging from ages 14-19 in the school system in Chicago make up the group. We have been traveling across the United States, Mexico, and Canada sharing this music.

Q: ¿Cómo definas tú la música mariachi?

Q: How do you define mariachi music? A: La música Mariachi tiene instrumentación, como Guitarrones y Vihuelas, que son tradicional de música Mariachi. Hay diferentes subgéneros en la música Mariachi. Tienes los Boleros, románticos y suave y rancheras, hirviendo de sangre. A: Mariachi has instrumentation. It has guitarróns and vihuelas, which are very common Mexican instruments. There are different subgenres in mariachi…you have every form of the soft romantic boleros to the blood boiling rancheras.

Q: ¿Cómo fue ser estudiantes de secundaria y ser nominado para un Grammy® Latino?

Q: What was it like to still be in high school and be nominated for a Latin Grammy®? A: Tuve que controlar mis emociones por qué estaba en la clase de la escuela, cuando recibí las noticias que villanos sido nominados. Trabajamos muy duro para terminar nuestro primer álbum, el que fue nominado. Fue probablemente uno de los mayores logros de nuestra carrera musical. A: I had to control my excitement because I was in class when I got the notice. We worked really hard to complete our first album, which was the one that got nominated. It was probably one the greatest achievements of our musical career.
