Charlotte was awestruck by the wonderful view of Rhydoldog. Charlotte believes that the picturesque backdrop will allow people to "reconnect with nature" and suggests that the purpose of the retreat is to: "create spaces that encourage people to reconnect with nature; encourage social gatherings and connections; and promote the importance of rituals, ceremonies and rights of passage.
Her aim is to build a 'zero-emissions, off-grid' wellness retreat centre with spiritual healing practices such as sound ceremony and forest bathing. She connects it all to nature, there are seven rooms to choose from, each with its own theme. The Moon room overlooking the Moon Garden, the Forest Spirits room overlooks ancient woodland, The Womb Room it's almost like a cocoon, when you stay in that room that you'll feel so held, The Dawn room looks out over the sweeping view down the valley, is the perfect place to watch the dawn break. Other rooms include The Wanderer, the Mystic and The Mushroom. Outdoors, the several gardens incorporate permaculture market gardens, a medicinal herb garden and responsible horticulture, there's also the outdoor Waterfall Shower where guests can immerse themselves in a natural shower.
As she said ‘I think that [saving the world] is through helping people to relax, to slow down, to face themselves, to find beauty and nature, and to be loving'. This project is to help people living in a community, doing things a bit differently and reconnecting with yourself, with community and with nature. She immersing visitors in the wild nature of the grounds, hopes that visitors can find a 'place for healing through experiencing beauty and wonder.'
