2. Thesken Hall Thesken Hall houses the department of Education and Society, and Engineering Technology. All are committed to preparing students for lucrative careers. Students in our Engineering Technology programs will have access to several teaching, research and computing laboratories to give you a better sense of theories that students learn in classrooms. Most of the courses that we offer come with elements of hands-on experiments. Offering the latest in online programming, the E-Campus Department is located on the first floor of Thesken Hall.

3. Bennett Recreation Center The recently renovated C. Eugene Bennett Recreation Center (gym) includes a fully updated weight room, which contains state-of-the-art elliptical and exercise equipment, free weights, exercise cycles, Stair Masters and treadmills, free for student use. This building is also home to our Thunderhawk men's and women's championship basketball teams and the women's volleyball team. A Miami ID gets you in the games at no charge and is required to use the facility or check out equipment.

The building—its framework and exterior are made of Armco steel—was built in the early 1940s for exclusive use as a women's club for Armco Steel's female employees. Verity Lodge was renovated in 2011. On the lower level of this building you will find the YMCA Children's Center, which offers quality child care for children ages 18 months to 5 years through a partnership with the Middletown area YMCA. This building also houses the Center for Social Impact, which uses Service-Learning and Volunteerism as a means to engage and connect our faculty, staff, and students with the community.

4. Levey Hall Miami Middletown's main science building, Levey Hall, is home to our state-of-the-art science labs. You can find the Department of Biological Sciences, which offers a major in Applied Biology and a variety of course offerings in other sciences. Here you will also find our flourishing English Language Center, which provides intensive English language instruction to non-native speakers. It is named for Barry J. Levey for his long involvement with Miami University dating back to the early 1960's. A young legislator, he was influential in securing the funding to build the Middletown Campus.

From Aerosmith to the Moscow Ballet, Middletown Symphony Orchestra and Bunny Hollow Players to Nobel laureates, dance recitals and graduations, the Dave Finkelman Auditorium has hosted thousands of events including our annual Regional Artist Series since it opened in 1969.

7. Gardner-Harvey Library Gardner-Harvey Library is one of the original buildings on the Middletown campus and serves as a location for students and community members to study, relax, meet with others and create information. It was recently renovated and houses an array of learning spaces including nine private and group study rooms, comfy seating areas, computer workstations and a TEC lab that provides the latest cool tools for student and community use. On the lower level of this building you can find a computer lab equipped with 24 computer workstations, printer and a copy machine.
