A Legacy of Excellence Twenty-four years ago, Miami Dade College embarked on a mission to further cultivate its high-achieving students through a new endeavor called The Honors College. We created an intimate learning community for these students to be challenged as a result of focused attention, stimulating coursework, enriching experiences and intellectual collaborations. What began as an inaugural class of 75 students burgeoned into a tradition of excellence serving thousands. Our students gained the tools for lifelong success through multi-faceted educational and professional experiences that included international cultural immersions and other study‑away seminars. Our remarkable alumni have represented the best of Miami locally, nationally and internationally. Excelling academically as leaders at their transfer college communities, or at their transfer institutions, they have laid the foundation for the continued success of The Honors College. Join us in welcoming this newest class of Honors College students who are poised to reach new heights.
Support The Honors College The Legacy Fund will continue to support our students’ success outside academics: funding transfer school visits, study abroad programs, earning research/internship stipends and presenting at conferences.
