WHO WE ARE ABOUT
In the Fall of 2008, the community of Mahogany was established by Hopewell Residential. Shortly thereafter, Mahogany was awarded “Calgary’s New Community of the Year, 2009” . Since then the community of Mahogany continues to grow and has won “Calgary Community of the Year” for 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2022, as well as “Alberta’s Community Development of the Year” in 2014.
The Mahogany Homeowners Association is a non-profit organization established for residents of Mahogany to give them the everlasting value of living in an exceptional community. Mahogany residents live an energetic lifestyle and are surrounded by a true sense of community spirit and togetherness.
Being open, transparent and empathetic, we build trust by treating people the right way and doing what’s right for the community. We believe that working with people of different backgrounds, cultures and thinking styles help our community grow into better leaders and enables a stronger community.

The Mahogany Beach Club has three different size rooms available to rent. Indoor bookings are available on a first-come, first-served basis; no holds will be accepted without a signed and completed Rental Agreement and payment.

KidSport Calgary and Canadian Tire Jumpstart each offer subsidies/grants for youth towards sport and recreation programs. Please contact them for funding information.

For healthy aging, Sinéad's gentle yoga series fosters vitality, flexibility, joint health, and balance, while reducing stress and anxiety All backgrounds are welcome in this coed class, which is beginner-friendly and particularly suitable for those over 55 but we welcome everyone that would like gentle movement
Swing by the Beach Club for a Tween Night out! Hang out, meet new friends, and enjoy fun activities planned by our talented Programs Team We have reserved the Mercado Room for those who want to play board games, listen to music, draw, or simply just hang out!
Across the hall in the Gymnasium, there will be a variety of sports and games available for tweens to enjoy, including dodgeball, floor hockey, and several other exciting activities
A course for responsible youth at least 10 years of age who want to become a babysitter or may already be one The babysitter course covers the responsibility of a babysitter, safety tips for children of all ages, first aid, mealtimes, stages of play and development, diapering babies, basic childcare skills, and waht to do in case of an emergency. Each student will receive a full colour Child Safe Canada Babysitter Handbook and completion card. When choosing a training program for your soon-to-be babysitter, trust Child Safe Canada to provide the highest possible quality of education.

Calling all young creators! Join us for a colorful, weekly art adventure where creativity and friendship come together in a fun-filled space. Led by a super-friendly, creative instructor, kids will dive into exciting projects, from painting to crafting, while learning cool art skills and letting their imaginations run wild. YOUTH TENNIS LESSONS
Coach — Willy
Utilizes Progressive Tennis, which introduces the sport of tennis in a fun and interactive way and ensures immediate success for young players. Using modified tennis balls, racquets, nets and courts, young players are properly equipped to enjoy rallies and learn the fundamentals of the game early on.
Note: Participants are required to bring their own tennis racket. Athletic clothing and footwear recommended.

Introduces the exciting sport of pickleball in a fun, engaging, and accessible way Using ageappropriate equipment and modified court sizes, this program ensures that young players experience success right from the start. Players will develop essential movement skills, handeye coordination, and an understanding of pickleball fundamentals through games and rallies.
Note: Participants are required to bring their own pickleball paddle. Athletic clothing and nonmarking indoor court shoes are recommended.

YOUTH BADMINTON
Coach – Phat
Badminton is a fast, fun, and challenging sport but for many kids, opportunities to paly don’t start until junior high. Early Start Badminton gives children ages 9–15 the chance to get involved earlier, learning the game in a positive, beginner-friendly environment. This program focuses on building fundamental skills, encouraging physical activity, and developing confidence on and off the court. With an emphasis on fun over competition, players will improve at their own pace through guided instruction and supportive coaching
Puddle of Mud Productions is an arts organization that has been catering to movers, shakers, and thespians of all ages since 2007! They specialize in ‘creativity with a splash’ through their diverse range of programs, including dance, drama, voice, film, music, and more. Puddle of Mud prides itself on the unique focus it places on the creative side of its 'fun-first' learning approach, using creativity as a catalyst for developing skills in any discipline Their programs are designed to inspire and nurture artistic expression, ensuring that every participant experiences growth in a supportive and dynamic environment.

BEGINNER SKATEBOARDING
Beginner lessons will start off slowly, allowing students to get comfortable with their skateboards as well as the skatepark. Students are introduced to entry level skateboarding skills and tricks, and will build and develop their skills from there Participants will learn basic skateboarding fundamental in order to go from never having ridden a skateboard, to safely cruising around the skatepark.

GIRLS ONLY SKATEBOARDING
This program provides an encouraging space for individuals to skate in a comfortable environment while learning the basics of skateboarding. This program facilitates opportunities for those who may feel excluded in what is commonly a male-dominated scene. This class focuses on skateboarding fundamentals and basic skills and tricks. Girls then progress at their own level, introducing more complex components of learning to skateboard such as ramps, skills, flatland tricks, and much more.

Participants must have taken a Beginner course and completed all skills on Beginner report card, or demonstrate competency in Intermediate Skills for the instructor on the first day. Intermediate class is for skaters who can demonstrate basic skills: basic push, front/backside turns, rolling up and down ramps, Tic Tac, and with some proficiency, but to a lesser degree, kickturns. New skills include Manual, Shuv It, Ollie, dropping in and drop off curbs, to name a few in particular.

This class is for the youngest riders who have never skateboarded before The emphasis is on learning and loving skateboarding through the use of fun and engaging teaching methods.
