Branded “Calgary’s Premier Lake Community”, Mahogany has been the recipient of Calgary’s, Alberta’s, and Canada’s Community of the Year awards
Our community hosts a 63 acre freshwater lake (Calgary's largest), 21 acres of private parks and beachfront, as well as 265 acres of open spaces, playgrounds, and wetlands. The Mahogany Beach Club boasts a 24,000 square foot facility, complete with a full Banquet Hall, catering kitchen and balcony, four additional rental venues, and a full size gymnasium; perfect for events and programming. This community was truly designed for residents who wish to live an active, social, and fulfilling lifestyle.
The Mahogany Homeowners Association is a non-profit organization established by Hopewell Residential for the residents of Mahogany to give them exceptional and everlasting value. This is achieved through programming, special events, community and facility maintenance, and of course, access to our wonderful amenities!
Despite having over 5,800 households and 15,200 residents, the community of Mahogany is very much in its early stages of development. Once completed, our community is estimated to have around 10,800 households and over 30,000 residents; a population comparable to the city of Okotoks in its current state.
The predominant sense you get from the people who call Mahogany home is that they are here to put their roots down There is an incredible interest and investment in creating a closely knit and strong community for generations to come
Although the COVID 19 pandemic impacted our operations and capacity to run events and programming, it also gave us the opportunity to take a step back and re evaluate Since restrictions were lifted, we have seen rapid growth in engagement from residents, evidenced through increased attendance in programming and at our events. We are quickly on our way to exceeding pre pandemic levels of community involvement. It is clear that the Beach Club is the heartbeat of Mahogany.
