MAKING THE IMPOSSIBLE, POSSIBLE MHMC team, we have journeyed this far because of all of you who contribute daily to our organization’s goals and objectives. STAFF FEATURE: Tamara Deligny PHOTO BY MARTIN R. SMITH

TAMARA DELIGNY Dental Assistant

Ms. Tamara Deligny came to MHMC in October of 2021 with 15 years of experience under her belt as a dental assistant. She has such a jovial and friendly demeaner that I think suits her career path, so that she can proovide comfort to some of us ‘scaredy cats’ out there when we visit the dentist. Ms Deligny’s passion would be for nursing at the young age of 15 but found out she was a bit too young to participate in the programme in which she was interested. But she still found herself caring for persons in another way -- in dental services. She's become an advocate for oral health and caring for the mouth.

Tamara

She was thrilled to take part in this year’s World Oral Health Day campaign, #BeProudOfYourMouth. When moving from a private practice to join the National Mental Wellness Centre she was excited for the challenge. Others would expect a different notion but that wasn’t the case with Tamara. She is warm and welcoming to all and makes everyone feel a bit more comfortable when they come in. Her dental surgeon always applauds the work that she does and enjoys working with her. Besides making her famous lasagna at home she is a pro when she steps into the office. Tamara is the lovely voice that picks up when you call to make your appointment at the dental clinic, so look out for the next staff clinic to visit Tamara.
