You have been discharged to go home, as you go back into your home and community, it is extremely important that you maintain the Covid-19 protocols of : Frequent handwashing or the use of an alcohol-based hand sanitizer Wearing of a face mask which covers both your nose and mouth Maintain a six foot physical separation from others Seek medical care if experiencing symptoms Avoid contact with people who are experiencing respiratory symptoms

It is extremely important that you maintain these protocols and protect yourself from infection with the coronavirus, as you do not have any immunity to the disease. Additionally, as we are uncertain how your body will react to a Covid19 infection, we ask that you take all the necessary precautions to safeguard yourself and others! Disinfection of Personal Items As you go home, it is important that all items used by you during your period of illness, be disinfected before they are used at home, to protect you and your family members. This includes your clothing, toiletries and all other personal care items that you would have touched.

Use disposable gloves always when disinfecting these items! Don’t forget to wash your hands thoroughly after!

Electronics (such as cellphones and tablets)—follow manufacturer’s instructions for cleaning methods. Consider the use of alcohol based wipes. Clothing and Linen Do not shake laundry items For the first wash, launder items separately from that of other persons If possible, launder items using warmest appropriate water setting for the items and dry completely Clean and disinfect bags where laundry was kept Items with hard surfaces Disinfectant such as diluted bleach solution or those with 70% alcohol may be used. Only recommended amounts of bleach are to be used Use water at room temperature when mixing bleach (see overleaf) Avoid mixing chemical products Use disinfectant solution in a well ventilated area

TOO TRENDY! Items with soft (porous) surfaces (e.g. Bags) Wash items with detergent and warmest water possible and dry completely Otherwise use products that are EPA-approved for use against the virus that causes Covid 19 and that are suitable for item being cleaned
