Policy: 8.1 Resignation

1. An employee appointed on probation or appointed otherwise than on contract may resign his/her post after giving no less than one (1) months’ notice, in writing, to the Chief Executive Officer and copied to the Senior Manager – Human Resources.

2. An employee appointed on contract shall resign his/her position only on the terms and conditions of his/her contract of employment.

3. Notwithstanding the provisions in sections (1) and (2) of this Rule, an employee, other than an employee appointed on contract may resign his/her position at any time after paying the equivalent of one months’ salary to the Millennium Heights Medical Complex in lieu of notice.

4. All resignations shall be immediately reported to the Senior Manager-Human Resources and the Director of Finance and Budgeting.
