"Owning a home is a keystone of wealth… both financial and emotional" Suze Orman
Spring is here and what a lovely time of year it is!
Soon we’ll be enjoying our swimming pool again, with the newly installed security fence . Yea!
It’s a delight reading the monthly Quail Call. We have such a vibrant and active community at Sequoia Gardens. Through social events and meals, art meet ups, puzzling, exercise groups, gardening, table and board games, conversations, fireside chats, informal gatherings and more there’s lots we benefit from being at Sequoia Gardens.
Speaking of benefit, your HOA serves all residents in the park regardless of their participation or financial support. In addition to advocating and working on behalf of home owner interests, the HOA pays for printing our monthly newsletter: The Quail Call and the phone directory. Your HOA funds purchased the printer and office desk for all to use. Any HOA hosted social event, supplies, food, prizes and other activity expenses are also paid for by your HOA funds and ticket sales. Due to increased costs it’s now 25 cents per page for copies and printing.
Where does the HOA money come from you might ask? To date funds have been generated by event ticket sales, 50/50 raffles and small, periodic donations. However, other MHP’s have an annual per household contribution such as $10/year. This practice shifts costs that benefit the entire community from a small group of residents to everyone and eliminates the need for fundraising. A small contribution park wide has a big ,big benefit! Thats a win-win.
At our March 2025 HOA meeting the community unanimously voted to begin an annual household contribution request for HOA funding. Soon, we’ll place information in your tubes and direction for how to contribute. We welcome your feedback and hope you’ll join us.
Please note, some special events and social activities will still have ticket sales and raffles that may continue just for the fun of winning. The HOA always welcomes your participation, ideas and input. There are many decisions, expenses and impacts ahead for our community. Come be a part of the process.
By now the new fence installation surrounding the pool is underway or may be completed. And, take a look at the “Conference Room” off the spa area and note the improved ambience. Sandra Rocchio donated art work for the walls and Sandy Marra put up attractive curtains. Enjoy this welcoming community space.
Please be reminded that all community facilities are available to any resident to use and just hang out in. However, if you desire to hold an organized event or ongoing activity it’s important to check with management for availability and reserve it first @ 707-542-6008

Drop a pebble in the water, And its ripples reach out far; And the sunbeams dancing on them May reflect them to a star.
Give a smile to someone passing, Thereby making his morning glad; It may greet you in the evening When your own heart may be sad.
Do a deed of simple kindness; Though its end you may not see, It may reach, like widening ripples, Down a long eternity.

"As an owner of a manufactured home, you are in a unique ownership situation not duplicated anywhere else. You own your home, but you also rent someone else’s land. Your financial investment in your home is often greater than the park owner’s investment in your lot, even allowing for a share of the common area. Yet, park owners have a HUGE influence over your living conditions. GSMOL’s goal is to help manufactured home owners protect their investment

A farmer went to the attorney's office and said he wanted to get a divorce. The attorney asked if he had any grounds.
"Yeah, I got about 240 acres," the farmer said. The attorney replied, "But, I mean do you have a case?"
"No, I have a John Deere."
"Well, do you have a grudge?"
The farmer said, "Yea, I got a grudge. That's where I park my John Deere."
"No, I mean do you have a suit?"
"Yes, sir, I got a suit. I wear it to church on Sundays."
Next, the exasperated lawyer asked, "Well, sir, does your wife beat you up or anything?"
"No, we both get up about 4:30."
The attorney finally asked, "OK, so why do you want a divorce?"
"Well," said the farmer, "I can't have a meaningful conversation with her!"
