We had a great turnout for BBQ burgers and hot dogs on Labor Day—thanks to all that attended, and we had a great cornhole tournament!
As a reminder, we have quite a few special events this holiday season with our Haunting Halloween Party and my favorite Friendsgiving in November and of course, our end of year Holiday Party. Everyone is welcome and we do welcome guests, but please RSVP as we need to shop and cook for the correct number of people.
Now for the business for this month. If you are interested in helping with the Sea Scoop we are hoping Pam will resume her duties soon, but we can always use extra help! Virginia is editing the October Sea Scoop and hope Pam can resume her duties for the November edition.
Also, elections are usually held in November but for the last few years we have not had anyone step up for the Board of SORA. If you are interested, please let me know. Otherwise, we will continue to run SORA as a Social Organization and will continue as we have for 2024 and 2025.
Thank you everyone for supporting this wonderful community that we all live in and love. As always, I am proud to say I live at Sea Oaks.
Take care and be safe!!!

HarvestMoon
Harvest Moon fills my room,So big and bright, in the sky tonight, casting shadows on the trees and blows the autumn leaves sweeping to and fro, every which way they go. It’s sometimes a scary sight that fills my mind with fright and I have trepidation but it’s only my imagination. So I go back to sleep and dream of sweet memories to keep.

SAFETY AND SECURITY
HAVING A SAFE BATHROOM FOR SENIORS
► Update lighting – Bright enough to see what you are doing.
► Adding grab bars and safety rails. A must have for the elderly.
► Getting organized. De-clutter. Too many items in bathroom.
► Install walk in shelter if you can afford one.
► When standing and balance become a problem, use a shower chair.
► Keep everything handy. Keep everything within reach and accessible.
