Millennium Memo
“The next time you get the urge to procrastinate, just put it off.” Anonymous.
How many of life’s unpleasant tasks only take a few moments to accomplish? Brushing your teeth, perhaps, or, if you have a well-kept yard, pulling weeds? I’ll add one more to that list: completing and returning your Annual Income Certification.
As I never tire of reminding you, the funds generated by your Income Certs help pay for upgrades to your Park, about $300K worth in the new Fiscal Year--$100K just on remodeling the Kitchen and other Clubhouse improvements.
Other projects include additions to the Basketball Area, new Soccer Goals, Street Lights, Clubhouse Furniture, Driveways, $80K worth of Electric & Sewer Repairs…that’s worth a few moments of your time, isn’t it? Please return your Cert as soon as you can.
John Davis, RIP
We were very sorry to hear of John Davis’ passing last month after a short illness. John, of course, was the founder of Haven Management, which manages 11 of our 20 Parks.
John was a great supporter of Millennium and one of my best friends in the Industry. He understood our desire for a residentfriendly management style and attended countless resident meetings without complaining well, maybe just a little.
In fact, I’d say John was a big part of Millennium’s success. He operated with compassion, gave sound advice, kept calm in the face of resident demands…he was everything you could wish for

in a Manager.
Please keep John’s wife Joan and his two children Katie & Michael in your thoughts, and give Katie your full support as she carries on the Haven legacy.
Kudos…
• Josue gets a Kudo this month for “doing some deep cleaning in our Playground Area, making sure it’s safe for our Kids to play there.” Nice, Josue!
• Kudos also to your hardworking Park Staff for finishing the Pool Concrete repairs & Fence replacement and for getting the Pool open for your enjoyment.
• Unkudos to the person who came through the Park with a loudspeaker selling candy & chips. I guess she didn’t know that soliciting is not allowed.
John Would Have Liked This one
A dog goes into a bar and orders a martini. The bartender said: “You don’t see a dog in here drinking a martini very often.” The dog said: “At these prices, I’m not surprised.”
Don’t forget to turn in your Income Cert and have a fun 4th of July!
George Turk

The Lighter Side
Then and now
A tour guide was showing a tourist around Washington, D. C. The guide pointed out the place where George Washington supposedly threw a dollar across the Potomac River. "That's impossible," said the tourist. "No one could throw a coin that far!"
"You have to remember," answered the guide. "A dollar went a lot farther in those days."
Water Formula
Little Johnny's teacher asks, "What is the chemical formula for water?"
Little Johnny replies, "H-I-J-K-L-MN-O!!"

Fast Drinker
A man goes into a bar and seats himself on a stool. The bartender looks at him and says, "What'll it be buddy?"
The man says, "Set me up with seven whiskey shots and make them doubles." The bartender does this and watches the man slug one down, then the next, then the next, and so on until all seven are gone almost as quickly as they were served. Staring in disbelief, the bartender asks why he's doing all this drinking.
"You'd drink them this fast too if you had what I have."
The bartender hastily asks, "What do you have, pal?"
The man quickly replies, "I have a dollar."
