There is no outside influence from the City of San Diego, FollettUSA, LVVSDHOA or other entities/persons; however, we accept submissions from all sources. Submissions that show bias towards a resident or multiple residents will either be redacted or not included. The publication is produced by volunteers. No one other than the Editorial Team should be soliciting for assistance. If you would like to volunteer, please email us directly.
1. Articles are to be submitted to the Editor by noon on the 13th of the month for inclusion in the next month’s issue.
2. Articles are to be submitted in a file type that can be edited (PDF, Word doc) or printed out to be scanned.
3. Articles can include information about local events, health, recipes, GSMOL actions, homeowner/renter rights, etc.
4. For now, articles can be sent to ShannonNicolle@yahoo.com or ursulagenz@sbcglobal.net.

The general purpose for which this corporation is formed is to engage in any lawful act or activity to represent the homeowners in the mobile home park known as Linda Vista Village ("LVV").
Specific Purposes: 1) Provide pleasure and recreation for the residents of LVV through various community activities; 2) Provide information and materials to the residents of LVV pertaining to their rights and responsibilities as mobile home owners; 3) Represent the residents of LVV to statewide agencies and organizations for the benefit of the residents; and 4) represent the residents of LVV to current and/or future landowner(s) and leaseholder(s) and their managers.
The residents of every home in the Park (both homeowners and other occupants) are members of the HOA. There are currently no dues for members. If you are interested in participating, please contact the HOA at lindavistavillagesdhoa@gmail.com If you know someone would like to be added to the HOA email and/or the mail tube list, please have them email the HOA at lindavistavillagesdhoa@gmail.com

Meet at Space #96 at 9:00 A.M. You can help with any part of the task: Picking up donations, sorting at Space #96, and helping recycling at the Miramar Landfill. Part or all. If you do it all, the team finishes and returns to LVV by 11:30 or 12 noon. If you come to help, be sure to wear a mask and you may want to wear gloves, also. Bonus: you will get to know some of your LVV neighbors and help us all out.

There have been several incidents due to homeless encampments in the canyon around us. If you see fire, someone jumping the fence, or doing vandalism/theft, please call 9-1-1. It is important to report to the fire/police. Also let the office know, and if you send an email to lindavistavillagesdhoa@gmail.com we will add it to our list of safety issues.
Several residents have informed the HOA of parking issues, including warnings and towing of vehicles. If you have questions, Parking Management Solutions is the name of the company - phone is (619) 764-3754, ask for DJ.
Let the HOA know if you have received warnings or have been towed, and save all paperwork. The HOA is working with the management on revised rules and regulations that will address these issues.
But please note, the HOA does not manage the LVV common property (parking, towing, canyon clean-up, pool community area, et cetera), the management does

Less ego, more wealth. Saving money is the gap between your ego and your income, and wealth is what you don't see. So wealth is created by suppressing what you could buy today in order to have more stuff or more options in the future.

More people can be greater leaders than they think they can, but they need a purpose greater than themselves.
William J. Clinton, 42nd president of the United States.
Things may come to those who wait, but only the things left by those who hustle.
Frequently attributed to Abraham Lincoln, 16th president of the United State
Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan, "Press on," has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.
Calvin Coolidge, 30th president of the United States, from a sign on his desk.
Any man worth his salt will stick up for what he believes right, but it takes a slightly better man to acknowledge instantly and without reservation that he is in error.
Andrew Jackson, 7th president of the United States

The young woman really thought she'd been very patient through a protracted period of dating with no talk of marriage.
One night her steady boyfriend took her to a Chinese restaurant. As he perused the menu, he casually asked her, "So . . . how do you like your rice? Boiled? Steamed? Or fried?"
Without missing a beat, she looked over her menu at him and replied clearly, "Thrown."
While proudly showing off his new apartment to friends late one night, one wag led the way to his bedroom where there was a big brass gong.
"What's that big brass gong for?" one of the guests asked.
"Why, that's the talking clock," the man replied. "Watch", the man said, giving the gong an ear-shattering pound with a hammer.
Suddenly, someone on the other side of the wall screamed, "F'gosh sakes, you idiot, it's 2 a.m. in the morning!"
The children were lined up in the cafeteria of a Catholic elementary school for lunch. At the head of the table was a large pile of apples. The nun made a note, and posted on the apple tray:
"Take only ONE. God is watching."
Moving further along the lunch line, at the other end of the table was a large pile of chocolate chip cookies.
A child had written a note, "Take all you want. God is watching the apples."
