. Aries 2025 Horoscope
2025 is a year of new beginnings and bold transformation, The cosmic stage is set for major change that catapults you into new realms of growth, manifestation and identity exploration.
In January, the Pisces north node begins its journey through your 12th house and asks you to release the past while the Virgo south node in your 6th house emphasizes the importance of self-care. Eclipses in these areas in both March and September act as catalysts, helping you release old patterns to enjoy a healthier, more balanced life throughout the year.
In March, Neptune enters Aries in your 1st house of self and invites you to explore your creative, sensitive side. The March Aries eclipse pushes you into a new chapter while both Venus and Mercury retrograde in your sign encourage you to pause and reflect before making life-altering decisions. In May, Saturn also moves into your sign, marking an incredible time of self-discovery that demands maturity and self-reliance.
Jupiter is known to expand, so expect exciting news and revelations. This vibrant phase prepares you for June when Jupiter enters Cancer in your 4th house of environment and emotions. Your focus turns inward toward the foundations of your life, potentially leading to a relocation, family expansion or strengthening of close relationships!
Uranus, the planet of unexpected surprises, moves out of Taurus in your 2nd house of money, and into Gemini in your 3rd house of communication. Under the experimental influence of Uranus, your selfexpression will be electrified!
In 2025, you're called to harmonize responsibility with self-care, embrace transformation and follow your heart!
Taurus 2025 Horoscope
The planets align to connect you with your soul family, elevate your spirits, and offer new avenues for selfexpression in 2025, Taurus! This year promises the arrival of manifestations you've been waiting for and a renaissance of your soul.
In 2025, the north node in Pisces and south node in Virgo, along with eclipses in these signs, awaken your 11th house of community and 5th house of joy. In this new transformative cycle, you'll be creating meaningful impact with others while exploring the depths of creation.
Venus and Mercury retrograde in Aries in your 12th house of endings, alongside an Aries eclipse and Neptune's grand entrance into Aries, makes March a month for important closure. This fiery celestial cocktail stirs your inner realm and you could feel ready to let go. When Saturn enters Aries in May, you're being called to take rejuvenation and healing seriously.
In June, Jupiter blows a goodbye kiss to Gemini and your 2nd house of money and makes a grand entrance into Cancer, activating your 3rd house of communication. Expect popularity and new connections! Jupiter, planet of expansion, blesses you with the ability to express yourself powerfully, making it the perfect year to launch a podcast, write, learn or teach.
The most significant cosmic event for you in 2025 is Uranus continuing its journey through your sign until July, bringing unexpected shake-ups to your life! Embrace change, however uncomfortable it may be, as it's the catalyst for your evolution! When Uranus enters Gemini in your 2nd house of money, explore new income avenues that align with your core values. Hint: Gemini rules communication! Remember that any changes you face are guiding you toward stability and satisfaction
Irish eyes were smiling as Lemon Wood celebrated Saint Patrick’s Day. The wearing o’ the green went perfectly with the delightful clubhouse decorations including shamrocks, leprechauns and pots of gold. The social committee was very busy with preparations with Kathleen and Marsha cooking eight pounds of bacon and a whole team scrubbing, oiling, seasoning, poking, wrapping and baking approximately eighty potatoes. Those monstrous potatoes (at about one pound a piece) were cooked to perfection. Then add the toppings and the meal was on. If there was room for dessert the marble cake was delicious. Those who stayed a little later were able to work off some of the calories from this fantastic meal by dancing to some disco tunes. All in all a fun time. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the Duck Derby on May 3rd.
Mathew Kelly homesteaded the Los Quiotes rancho. The original landgrant became the huge sprawling Rancho Agua Hecionda or “Stinking Water.” This land is now the site on which the modern city of Carlsbad is built and the Del Mar race track. Marianne has a book which includes her family tree identifying all the generations of her family from John Kelly, Mathews brother, to her. It is very impressive.
In a variety of ways Gerry Agdeppa and Marianne Schrader’s lives are intertwined and go way back.
Going really way back Marianne’s ancestors, the Ortegas, were given a Spanish land-grant of approximately 13,000 acres in 1837. This rancho was called Ranch de Los Quiotes, “Ranch of Spanish Daggers.” The other side of her ancestral family were the Kelly’s from the Isle of Mann. The Kelly family of pioneers married into the Ortega family ultimately taking ownership of the land. In 1868
Gerry’s family goes all the way to the Philippines. At 10 years old his father, Bernard, stowed away on a merchant ship landing on the east coast. He was caught and sent back to the Philippines. On his second trip as a stowaway, his dad was successful. From coal miner in Pennsylvania to working the fields of Salinas, California, Bernard learned to cook - selling meals to other farm workers. He ultimately moved to Ventura becoming a chef in local restaurants like the Pierpont Inn and the Lobster Trap. Gerry’s mom was of Chumash heritage.
Both Marianne and Gerry are fifth generation Californians.
Gerry and Marrianne both grew up in Ventura - a very different town in the late forties -early fifties. Marianne was raised by her grandparents on the Avenue where her grandfather, a carpenter, owned 9 houses at Olive and Ramona. They never locked their doors. She fondly recalls a great childhood.
Gerry tells me he was born in a boat during a flood of the Ventura river. His neighborhood was Tortilla Flats, a historically significant neighborhood, now gone with the development of the 101 free way and Seaside Park Fair Grounds. Both Gerry and Marianne remember the area as having a roller rink and a baseball field with a semipro baseball team.
Marianne and Gerry met in the third grade and they became very good friends until the ninth grade. He went on to grow-up independent and self sufficient as well as athletic and sports minded. When the football coach asked him to be on the football team, Gerry said “No.” Just didn’t want the group experience. In 1962 they graduated together from Ventura High.
After high school Gerry worked as a carpenter. Later he became an owner-operator trucker driving long haul 18 wheelers around the country. Marianne married at age 19 raising two children right here in Ventura. She volunteered as an unpaid teacher’s aide at Blanche Reynolds Grammar school. Her family went ice fishing on opening day every year on Lake Mary in Mammoth. Her family camped in the cold. She loves camping.
After years apart, Gerry and Marianne met again at their 50th High School Reunion. They each were not going to go but at the last minute decided to attend - meeting again after more the 50 years. Gerry invited Marianne to come by Mimi’s restaurant as he was there every morning. She did and they have been enjoying a new life together ever since. He loves golf and gambling. Gerry has been golfing for over 60 years. If he happened upon a golf course when trucking, he would stop and play a round. Marianne loves decorating, collecting vintage decorations, sewing and the Rams. Together, they have a tripod cat named Sweetpea. They also travel by car all over the Western United States. They love to puzzle - meaning they always have a 1000 piece puzzle they’re working on together.
Gerry and Marianne have made a life together here in Lemon Wood. She is on the Social Committee and is the chief designer of the decorations in the club house. He plays golf every Wednesday and Thursday at the Saticoy Golf Course. He also competes in our ‘friendly’ golf tournaments for Lemon Wood. He plays poker every Thursday with the men.
Gerry and Marianne’s lives are intertwined in unique ways. They were destined to be together for these later years of their lives.

Hi, this is the Magazine Editor. One of our neighbors asked me to put a note in the newsletter that was basically complaining about the actions of another neighbor. My first reaction was to say no, but I didn’t. After thinking more about it, without sharing the details, I asked other neighbors for their opinion. I realized that my first reaction was better. It was surprising how quickly the response was to not use the newsletter to air grievances. There are plenty of avenues to express an opinion or complain about another’s actions. NextDoor or Facebook are just two. Or tell them face to face or complain to Lemon Wood management. This newsletter is for Lemon Wood events, local pictures, stories from or about our neighbors and neighborhood ads.
I will continue to publish a newsletter that is fun, informative, positive and relevant to Lemon Wood.

Too much fruit on your trees? Either bring it to the Clubhouse to share or Call Food Bank @ 8059837100. They’ll come out and harvest.
The number for Lift Assist is 805-384-1500. This is a service provided by the fire department to pick people up off the floor. I have used this service twice. Two to three firemen come in and quickly pick the person up and put them back into a safe situation. No paperwork or expense involved. If there is a possibility of a fall requiring an ambulance, then 911 is the best number to call.
