FAQ's Q: What is the GO Initiative?

A: There are two goals of the “GO Initiative”. The first is to share Crosspoint’s multi-site vision in an effort to increase awareness and build excitement about where we feel God is leading Crosspoint.

The second goal is to raise $1,500,000 to help establish the Bluewater Bay Campus.

Q: What is Crosspoint’s multi-site vision?

A: “Crosspoint is a movement connecting communities across Northwest Florida to Christ by starting multiplying campuses”. Our vison as a church has always been “Connecting People to Christ,” and we believe that our multi-site vision will enable us to connect more people to Christ as we start the Bluewater Bay Campus and other “multiplying campuses” in the future.

Q: What does the expression “multiplying campuses” mean?

A: A “multiplying campus” is started with a day one goal of planting another “multiplying” campus within 5 years that will in turn, do the same thing.

Q: Is there another way to help with this initiative beyond just contributing financially?

A: Absolutely! There are several ways: • Although money will be needed to start the Bluewater Bay Campus and other future campuses, leaders are also needed. For all future Crosspoint campuses to be successful, we do not need people at one campus to go and “attend” the new campus. Instead, we need people who will go and help lead the new campus.

• In addition to making a financial contribution, we need people to become “Vision Ambassadors” to help others in our congregations understand God’s multi-site vision for Crosspoint.

• We believe that prayer has always played a critical role in the movement of God’s Spirit at Crosspoint. For the “GO Initiative” to be successful we will need it to be strongly supported by prayer. As you receive information about aspects of the “GO Initiative” needing prayer emphasis, join in and pray fervently for God to move in a miraculous way.

Q: What will Sunday mornings at the Bluewater Bay Campus look like?

A: There will be two contemporary services at 9:30am & 11:00pm with a live worship band. An excellent children’s ministry will be provided. The sermon will be a simulcast of the Community Life Center services at the Niceville Campus, in the same way the Café services at the Niceville and South Crestview campuses are presently simulcast.

Q: After Bluewater, what is next?

A: Although we do not know for sure where the next campus will be, the Bluewater Campus will be started with a goal of starting a campus in Freeport within 5 years. The South Crestview Campus has already decided that their goal is to start a campus in Baker. The North Crestview and Niceville Campuses are looking at, and praying about, where God is leading them to start a campus. The goal is that within 5 years after the Bluewater Bay Campus opens, all 4 campuses will have started another “multiplying campus” that will in time start another campus.

Q: Why are we starting the Bluewater Bay Campus so close to the Niceville Campus?

A: There are three reasons: • The Niceville Campus cannot accommodate additional growth.

• We know that new campuses reach new people, so we believe that the Bluewater Bay Campus will have a better chance of reaching the 6,800 unchurched people in the Bluewater Bay Area.

• The Bluewater Bay Campus will better equip us to reach out beyond our local area; especially to Freeport where we have a number of people who already attend the Niceville Campus and where we already have two growing small groups.

Q: What will the Bluewater Bay Campus cost and where will the money come from?

A: We purchased the building for approximately $650,000. The renovation of the facility is estimated to be between $1,200,000 and $1,400,000. The architectural, engineering, testing and permitting fees are estimated to be $100,000.

The estimated cost of the furniture, audio visual equipment and theming for children’s area is $300,000. In addition to the cost of the facility, we have planned to supplement the campus’ budget by a total of $250,000 over the first 4 years if needed. So the entire cost of the Bluewater Bay Campus could be as much as $2,700,000. This will be paid for from the one day offering connected to the “GO Initiative,” from the budget line item for debt reduction, and out of the line of credit.

Together, we have witnessed what the power of God can accomplish through an obedient, passionate church. Ever since we stepped into the Crestview market nearly six years ago, we have watched in wonder at the provision of a faithful God to bless our mission of connecting

“New campuses reach new people” people to Christ. The fruits of our Beyond campaign have continually exceeded our projections, growing our ministry in the north end of Okaloosa County by over 150% in just three years.

In fact, our new North Crestview campus now averages over 500 people in attendance each week.

When we consider the monumental growth on all our campuses that now averages almost 3,800 in attendance each Sunday, we must reflect on the awesome power and character of our Creator. We must also continue to respond in obedience and thankfulness to His call to Go.
