How do we guarantee exceptional quality?
Regular inspections after each individual product step guarantee the level of quality for which MEYER is known. The cut, the sewing, the washing and the ironing process are carefully inspected by specialist personnel. Before delivery, a complete final inspection takes place. This allows us to stand by our quality promise with absolute certainty.
How do we guarantee the perfect fit?
Depending on their texture, fabrics react differently to the washing process. Therefore, each fabric has its own shrinkage value. Multiple tests carried out at our own production facilities guarantee that the perfectly created fits produced by our design centres retain their shape permanently.
How do I find my perfect size?
You can calculate your size by measuring your waist and inside leg. You will find exact instructions as well as an integrated size calculator and size chart on page 70 of this catalogue and on the meyer-hosen.com website in the size guide section.
What fits are available at MEYER?
The fits at MEYER are divided into Slim Fit, Modern Fit and Comfort Fit. They are distinguished by a slim, figuredefining silhouette as well as a regular and comfortable silhouette.
How many pieces does a pair of MEYER trousers contain?
Around sixty pieces of fabric cut to size, a good 380 meters of thread and extra accessories go into creating a pair of trousers. Many of the crucial production steps are done by hand. Inspired by the art of tailoring, we are proud of our semi-sartorial designs.
How can I be sure that MEYER trousers are truly sustainable?
MEYER trousers are made at the company‘s own European production facilities. This allows the company to directly influence product conditions and observe the most up-to-date social and environmental standards. This enables the company to obtain certifications that follow the strictest requirements – including GOTS, OEKO-TEX® Made in Green and Fairtrade.

is GOTS certified –what does this label mean?
GOTS is the internationally recognised gold standard for the production of textiles from organically produced natural fibres under strict environmental and social criteria at every stage of the supply chain, from the cotton field to the finished product. We pride ourselves on using only the
highest quality materials and production standards. That is why we have deliberately chosen to use the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS).
Why use organic cotton?
The organic cultivation of cotton does not use any chemical pesticides, artificial fertilisers or genetic engineering. As a result, the soil and water, as well as the flora and fauna, are not put under stress and biodiversity is promoted. Healthier cultivation areas are much more effective at storing water, which significantly reduces water consumption. Organic cotton consists of long staple fibres. This makes the fabrics produced more durable and resilient.
What are the advantages of pure new wool?
Wool is a versatile natural product that is incredibly comfortable to wear. It is temperature-regulating – it keeps you warm in winter and cool in summer. Clothing made of wool ensures excellent moisture management. The better the quality and finish, the more comfortable and less scratchy the material.
Are MEYER trousers animal friendly?
We make a conscious effort not to use materials of animal origin for our trousers. Therefore, we use cork instead of leather for our M|5 labels. The new wool is 100 % mulesing free. Instead of using horn for buttons, we use exclusive corozo (vegetable ivory), precious metal or high-quality plastic. The use of pure organic cotton or innovative techno fabric, obtained from recycled fibres, leads to the sustainable and respectful management of resources and habitats.
