Dirk was born in 1964 in Park City, Utah, where his parents founded Meyer Gallery’s original location when Dirk was just a year old. Growing up around artists, gallerists and collectors, Dirk developed a deep appreciation for the arts from a very young age. It was with Dirk’s eye and vision that Meyer Gallery was established in Santa Fe over 30 years ago, and it was his passion that molded the gallery into what it is today – a leading force in Santa Fe’s art market for contemporary representational art, and premier destination for collectors and artists from around the globe.
As per one of Dirk’s final requests, Meyer Gallery is dispersing his personal collection, with the proceeds going to fund arts specific scholarships at the University of Utah.
