ealdsburg has been in a state of rapid evolution.

“Oh, George. This has been such a wonderful trip. What shall we do on our last day?”

“Well, Martha, we still have a couple of dozen restaurants to hit, excluding

the McDonald’s on the outskirts of town, and at least 67 wineries to visit.”

“Oh, George. Man does not live by bread and wine alone.”

“Don’t get biblical on me, Martha. We’re on vacation.

What’s your point?”

“George, my body has been fed and my liver is working on overdrive, but

my soul, George, my soul needs to be nourished.”

“And how do you propose we nourish our souls, Martha?”

“Let’s do something cultural, George! Let’s go to an art gallery or see a show!

Maybe we can find a place where the locals hang out and hear some live music?”

“Seriously, Martha?”

“Yes, George! I heard some other guests talking about this wonderful gallery downtown that’s in a Quonset hut!”

“Great, Martha. I can relive my salad days when I was stationed in Guam.”

But if we do that, I’m going to need a drink afterward, and NOT wine.”

“Well, George, the young couple in the room next to us were talking about going to a place with live music and a beer garden.

here are more than 30 winners in our Best of Healdsburg Food & Drink awards, as selected by the residents of Healdsburg and the readers of the Tribune. This is our first year for a Best of Healdsburg, and judging by the response to our monthlong polling, we have a feeling it won’t be the last.

Naturally, there are winners for Best Business Lunch and Best Outdoor Dining, Best Chef and Best Sommelier, Best Caterer and Best Family Restaurant—those we’d expect. But there are also some awardees whose specialties might be overlooked amidst the glamor of the Plaza, of the

five-star hotels and the three-star restaurants.

And it goes without saying that Healdsburg’s voters have strong opinions about the wine.

After all, local winemaking families stretch back to the Old Country, and the heritage is deep here, as shown in the favored status of zinfandel

ebbie’s would like to start off by thanking the community of Healdsburg and Sonoma County for their continued support. People travel far with multiple generations of their four-legged family members. Debbie’s Pet Boutique opened the Healdsburg shop in November 2014 and Healdsburg has accepted Debbie’s Pet Boutique with open arms. Debbie Foster has been in business for 34 years now. Debbie’s specialize’ s in not only all breed grooming but earning the trust of others, our clientele includes four-legged family members whose trust is the most important thing to them, and then to earn the owners trust and educate them on feeding their pets the proper food, finding the right treat for them, fitting them for a harness, collar, or a sweater to keep them warm.

Their team loves to make them smell, look, and feel amazing. There are multiple times when passionate pet owners come in and thank Debbie’s for being here in this community.

Debbie graduated from Dog Grooming school in 1980 and worked for others until she became a single mom which made her decide to open her own dog grooming shop, then expanded into Pet supplies that’s were her husband Ron has been a huge help, it made sense to be a one stop shop. Being her own boss gave her the flexibility to raise her daughter. Crystal has been a huge part of Debbie’s, she works by her side; Debbie calls her a mini me. Debbie has her son-in-law Daniel and long-time employee Carolyn who greet you at the counter, they have all helped make Debbie’s what it is today, Your One Stop Shop.

Debbie’s Pet Boutique has won several awards and is most proud of being “Sonoma Counties’ Best Dog Grooming Shop” for several years in her career, and now Best Pet Boutique is very special to Debbie.
