PALM BEACH MODELS

Melissa Hornung’s journey into fashion and modeling began long before she became the visionary behind Palm Beach Models. After a successful modeling career working with some of the industry's biggest names, she noticed a gap in the Palm Beach market: no agency truly represented the city's luxury lifestyle and highend fashion scene. Determined to fill that void, Melissa founded Palm Beach Models five years ago—the first agency dedicated exclusively to the Palm Beach market. Her vision was clear: to showcase models who embodied the elegance, sophistication, and timeless glamour that define the city.

Palm Beach Models is more than just a business—it’s a family. Melissa takes pride in mentoring the women she represents, helping them discover their potential and pursue success. She instills core values like professionalism, reliability, and authenticity, ensuring each model is prepared not only for the runway but for life beyond it. The agency has become a space for empowerment and growth, where individuality is celebrated and excellence is the standard.

Since its founding, Palm Beach Models has become a key player in the local fashion scene, partnering with prestigious venues such as Mar-a-Lago, Trump International, The Breakers, The Royal Poinciana Plaza, and The Carriage House. The agency represents models at exclusive events for luxury brands like Kiton, Michael Kors, Julie De Libran, Kulson, and Alice & Olivia—offering world-class experiences for both clients and talent.

Inspired by the Slim Aarons-esque lifestyle of Palm Beach, the models reflect the island’s signature timeless and effortless glamour. Palm Beach Models continues to capture the essence of the city while shaping the future of fashion. For Melissa, it's about more than building a brand—it’s about leaving a lasting impact on the industry and uplifting the next generation of women.

a harmonious balance between simplicity and complexity, with every dish telling a story through its carefully sourced ingredients and exquisite presentation.

“Kimberly is such an amazing subject because she embodies power and grace simultaneously. She knows exactly how to command the frame while still being open and authentic, which makes every shot feel personal and compelling. Her confidence is magnetic, and that energy translates beautifully into photos. “

-Madison Sohaney

Look 1: “This look is inspired by the elegance and enigma of the black swan, capturing the mystery behind every woman. The gown features a delicate lace bodice with intricate beadwork and a plunging neckline, creating a balance of sensuality and sophistication. The voluminous feathered skirt adds texture and movement, evoking the graceful yet fierce essence of a black swan. The structured silhouette, accented by a sleek black belt, reflects strength and allure, embodying both power and femininity.”

-Fashion Designer Oscar Lopez

“This look is inspired by the timeless elegance of a Greek goddess, embodying grace and power. The deep grapehued gown features a ruched bodice that sculpts the silhouette, while the flowing pleated cape sleeves evoke the fluidity and movement of ancient Grecian drapery. The bodice combines sheer elements with intricate embroidery, creating a delicate contrast between strength and femininity. The asymmetrical skirt design reveals a stunning sheer panel adorned with vine-like embroidery, reminiscent of antique lacework and the intricate settings of fine ruby jewelry. The bold red hue embodies passion, luxury, and royalty, making this gown a modern interpretation of Victorian grandeur.”

-Fashion Designer Oscar Lopez

Look 4:

“This gown was inspired by the olive trees that surround the Parthenon in Greece. The rich olive green satin reflects the natural tones of the Mediterranean landscape, evoking the serenity and timeless beauty of Greek nature. The structured bodice and ornate jeweled belt pay homage to the elegance and sophistication of ancient Greek artistry, while the mermaid-style silhouette and ruffled hem add a modern touch. The design captures the harmonious balance between nature and classical architecture, embodying both strength and softness—a true reflection of Greek-inspired elegance.”

-Fashion Designer Oscar Lopez

According to Madison Sohaney, Metropolitan Palm Beach’s worldclass photographer, “the secret to capturing the essence of powerful women is creating a space where they feel seen and celebrated. I always focus on highlighting their natural expressions and the subtle moments that tell a deeper story.”

She is an amazing woman and I am so honored to feature her again on the magazine cover. She is beautiful inside and out. Kimberly is the embodiment of a confident and selfactualized individual. She has also been an incredible business advisor and supporter of our new Palm Beach MedSpa which provides stem-cell therapy and other cutting edge regenerative medical treatments for Palm Beach residents interested in looking and feeling their absolute best.”

What was it like behind the scenes collaborating with Kimberly? According to world renowned designer Lopez, pure bliss.

“Working with Kimberly Guilfoyle is an absolute pleasure. She has an incredibly positive attitude and brings so much energy to every moment. What stands out the most about Kim is her gratitude—she truly values every person around her and makes you feel seen and appreciated. She creates an atmosphere of trust and comfort, which allows creativity to flow naturally. Kim is the perfect balance of sass and sophistication— she’s effortlessly feminine yet razor-sharp and highly professional. Her ability to combine warmth, confidence, and intelligence makes her not only a dream to work with but also a true muse for any designer.”

Jeweler Cameron Neth was equally excited to have his jewelry adorn Kimberly. “ I love that Kimberly shines even brighter than any of the precious gems she puts on from my collection. But she is the perfect model!”

Photgrapher Madison Shohaney was also thrilled with the final results. “I’m incredibly happy with what we captured with Kimberly—she’s a dream to photograph. The shoot was a perfect mix of elegance and strength, which really reflects her presence. The location added so much depth to the images; the atmosphere felt empowering yet effortless, allowing her natural confidence to shine through. “

One thing is for sure this won’t be the last time we hear from and about Kimberly Guilfoyle—a star on the rise.

Sam Francis (1923–1994) was an American abstract expressionist painter, widely recognized for his bold use of color and innovative approach to space and form. Emerging in the 1950s, Francis became a prominent figure in the abstract art movement, closely associated with both American and European avant-garde circles. His early work was influenced by the dramatic shifts of post-war abstraction, and he was particularly inspired by the works of Jackson Pollock and Mark Rothko, although he developed a distinctive style that blended abstraction with a sense of organic fluidity.

Francis's signature style involved the dynamic interplay between vibrant color fields and expansive negative space, often evoking a sense of movement and light. He explored various media throughout

his career, including oil painting, watercolor, and printmaking, always with a focus on intense color contrasts and the emotional power of his compositions. His work exemplified the postwar desire to break from traditional forms and engage with raw emotion, marking his place in the pantheon of Abstract Expressionism.

With exhibitions worldwide and a long legacy of influence on contemporary abstraction, Sam Francis is celebrated not only for his aesthetic contributions but also for his role in shaping the discourse of modern art. His work remains influential to this day, as it continues to resonate in the practices of both established and emerging artists exploring color, abstraction, and the expressive potential of the canvas.

ENTREPRENEUR SCOTT CHARVERRI IS SEEING RED

Passionate Entrepreneur Scott Charverri Shines a Light

In the current climate of rigorous health, wellness, self-care, and personal grooming, entrepreneur Scott Charverri has taken the bold step of launching his innovative company, Mito Red Light, Inc. in January 2019. Impressively, the journey started in his garage and has grown into a successful multi-million-dollar company.

Red Light Therapy, an up-and-coming trend in health and wellness products, is a treatment that uses low-wavelength red light to improve the skin’s appearance. Among the benefits are promoting wound healing, improving skin strength and elasticity, reducing age spots, reducing wrinkles, lines, scars, redness, and acne. This treatment is also touted to treat other medical conditions.

“People are clearly hungry for things that help them feel better and live better,” says Charverri. “It is such a blessing to go to work every day in a thriving business and meet all of these amazing people who are benefitting from our products.”

Mito Red Light is the most trusted red light therapy brand for both lay customers and high-performing athletes worldwide, according to Charverri. In fact, the NHL’s Arizona Coyotes use Mito Red Light panels for performance and recovery.

After receiving his MBA in Finance from the Simon School of Business, and a successful 15-year career in corporate finance, working for several Fortune 500 companies, his passion turned toward health and wellness; constantly learning, tinkering, and evolving. Some of this stemmed from health challenges that he faced in childhood and early adulthood.

The company started with three skews rectangular, small, and medium, and now it has 55 skews; and a new panel coming out in a few weeks The first year in business, his Scottsdale, Arizona, company reached $1 million in sales and it has continued to grow at such an impressive rate that he has 65,000 lifetime customers and an impressive $34 million in revenue in five years.

His business goal: to continue to build his cutting-edge Mito Red Light, Inc. into a preeminent health and wellness company. How does your current success compare with your initial expectations?

Scott Charverri: I couldn’t have predicted this. The financial growth and personal benefits have been tremendous. I love that our products have had a much larger impact than we ever expected. It is gratifying to hear the feedback from our customers who are so eager to share with us how they Red Light Therapy is helping them.

As a successful entrepreneur what advice can you share with those making their way?

Personally, the first thing I would say about how I run and grow my business is that I listen to my customers. Especially when I first started, and I was wearing all of these hats and juggling so many roles, I benefitted from speaking to many customers and staying in close contact with my customer service team to determine what we can do to improve the way we are communicating.

I discovered little things about the delivery experience that we tweaked. Customers are a great source of ideas and feedback and we know that those little things add up.

Please explain what Red Light Therapy is, how it is used, and its benefits.

Red and near infrared (NIR) light therapy often simply referred to as “red light therapy,” uses specific wavelengths of light (in the range of 600-900 nanometers) to bring about positive health benefits. People use red light therapy to improve skin quality, speed wound healing, stimulate hair growth, reduce inflammation, and improve workout recovery. Studies indicate that red light therapy’s effects occur due to the stimulative effect that red and NIR wavelengths of light have on mitochondria, the energy center of the cells.

What drives you?

I think one of the things that helps me in general is that I have a natural curiosity. With my background in finance, I could have easily remained a spreadsheet jockey. But as someone with great curiosity I wanted to engage with as many subject matter experts as possible.

So, I would hire experts, such as an internet marketing expert, social media expert, a video creator, and have each of them do an audit and pepper him with questions so that I could learn as much as possible. You must have a certain level of proficiency in order to delegate. I am pleased that I assembled a team of employees and outside partners. It took a great deal of work to assemble this rock-star team. Why/how do athletes use Mito Red Light Therapy, and do you believe this could be significantly expanded?

We have many professional athletes that use the lights for various reasons - to recover from injury faster, to recover from training faster, to withstand the rigors of a long season, to get better sleep and to enhance performance.

What do you love about being a dad to your son, Matthew, nine, and daughter, Emma two and a half?

My first job was as a camp counselor in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, and I made $800 for the entire summer in 1991, but it didn’t matter because I loved working with the kids. Children embody the best part of what humanity has to offer. They are all about joy, curiosity, and love. I appreciate having my inner child brought out when I am around my kids. My children provide an unlimited source of energy when things get difficult or when I run into obstacles that force me to figure things out. I know I am setting an example for them and I always want it to be a positive one.

Talk about the future of the company?

We continue to push the envelope to pursue avenues that are new and different. We have a new chiropractic product coming out which is a cervical orthotic pillow that allows the user to apply red and near infrared light while they are laying on the pillow. This device relaxes the area.

It was brought to me by a chiropractor who wanted to help people maintain their best posture. We think the addition of red light therapy will enhance the benefits of using the device. We are extremely excited about our new products. We want to try to innovate and reinvest in research and development so that we are continuing to make things that will help people. The “second inning” for the company will see more growth, new products, and continue my love for helping and educating people.

MICHAEL MOST

FINANCIAL ADVISOR

From New York to Florida: A Financial Advisor’s Journey to Helping Clients Thrive

In 1996, I found myself stepping into the financial advising world rather unexpectedly. Joining American Express Financial Advisors, I quickly discovered a passion for guiding people toward their financial goals. Over the next 17 years, I held various roles within the organization, transitioning from advisor to training manager and eventually district manager. The company evolved as well, rebranding to Ameriprise Financial in 2005.

While my time in management offered me invaluable experience— training advisors, participating in client appointments, and crafting financial plans—I felt a strong pull to return to what I truly loved: working directly with clients. That decision brought me back to my roots as a financial advisor, and it’s been the best move I could have made.

In 2012, I transitioned from Ameriprise Financial to LPL Financial, where I refocused my efforts on working closely with clients to help them achieve their financial goals. During my time at LPL Financial, I further honed my skills in wealth creation and preservation, developing strategies tailored to individual client needs. After more than a decade of success there, I joined Savvy Wealth in 2023 as a Principal Wealth Manager, bringing my experience and passion for personalized financial planning to a forward-thinking firm.

Today, I live and work in sunny Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where I’ve brought the skills and expertise honed over decades in New York City to help clients in the Sunshine State achieve their financial aspirations. Whether you're a seasoned executive, a business owner, or an individual eager to build and preserve wealth, my goal is to provide personalized strategies tailored to your needs.

A Unique Approach to Building Wealth

My approach as a financial advisor centers on trust and understanding. By actively listening to my clients, I gain invaluable insights into their goals, concerns, and unique circumstances. This enables me to craft strategies that align perfectly with their needs.

One key lesson I’ve learned throughout my career is that financial success doesn’t follow a one- size-fits-all formula. Some clients achieve success through high income, while others thrive through disciplined financial habits. My role is to combine technical expertise with personal insights to create customized solutions for wealth creation and preservation. Whether it’s helping clients save effectively, allocate funds strategically, or build a diversified portfolio, I’m committed to empowering them to achieve their financial dreams.

Planning for Retirement and Beyond

When it comes to retirement planning, my strategies evolve based on where clients are in their financial journey. For younger clients in their 20s and 30s, I emphasize aggressive growth while ensuring they maintain a healthy balance for day-to-day living. As clients move

into their 40s, we focus on growing their assets while preparing for a financially stable future. For those in their 50s and beyond, the strategy shifts to preserving wealth, generating income, and maintaining stability while still incorporating some equity exposure to outpace inflation. I also take pride in blending traditional and alternative investment strategies. From blue-chip stocks and mutual funds to real estate investment trusts, my goal is to create a well-rounded portfolio that offers both stability and growth potential. By carefully selecting quality investments, I aim to provide my clients with the peace of mind that their financial foundation is secure.

What Sets Me Apart

Living and working in Florida has offered me the opportunity to connect with a diverse range of clients, many of whom are drawn to this region for its vibrant lifestyle and favorable financial climate. My specialty lies in wealth creation, preservation, and retirement planning—helping clients not only build their financial resources but also sustain and grow them for the future.

My favorite part of this work is the relationships I build along the way. Many of my clients have become friends over time. By taking the time to truly understand their lives, personalities, and financial goals, I’m able to design strategies that meet their unique needs. For clients who are risk-averse, I’ve developed communication and investment strategies that provide peace of mind while still fostering growth. For those with a higher risk tolerance, I focus on optimizing returns without taking unnecessary risks.

A Bright Financial Future Awaits

Fort Lauderdale has become my home, and I’m thrilled to offer my expertise to individuals and families throughout Florida. Whether you’re looking to grow your wealth, preserve your assets, or generate a stable retirement income, my mission is to help you achieve financial confidence and security.

I invite you to take the first step toward your financial future. Together, we can build a strategy that not only meets your goals but also allows you to enjoy the lifestyle you’ve worked so hard to achieve.

DR MICHAEL GERLING, MD

Founder & Chief Surgeon, Gerling Spine Care and Research Institute

r. Michael Gerling is an orthopedic surgeon modernizing the approach to joint and spinal disorders with a unique perspective and research driven results. Whether its chronic arthritis or recent injuries, joint and spine treatment is experiencing a new renaissance of treatment using regenerative medicine, harnessing and amplifying the body’s natural ability to heal. Biologic products in the body are signaled and triggered to accelerate the normal healing process in ligaments and tendons, joint cartilage and disks in the spine. These new techniques amplify the body’s natural processes to restore each component of the musculoskeletal system, to reduce pain, improve function and avoid surgery whenever possible.

Traditional orthopedic care for arthritis and injuries included a conservative tier of treatment with physical therapy and medications. Injections were used to deliver anti-inflammatory steroids when appropriate which can blunt natural healing and helpful inflammation. After failing early westernized non-operative care, patients were relegated to surgical options and rarely offered alternatives. Some doctors have embraced a holistic approach to care employing psychological therapy and other options such as acupuncture, chiropractic care and massage. Eastern or ancient techniques including tai chi, yoga, meditation, ceremonial healers and spiritual guidance are sometimes considered without significant clarity of their role and without substantial research foundation.

Modern advancements have now opened a new layer of care between conservative care and surgery, that can reverse the aging process or accelerate healing of damaged mucles, ligaments and joints. Regenerative medicine can be used in lieu of surgery and can also accelerate healing in surgical wounds. Orthopedic surgeons are now injecting products such as PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma), Stem Cells harvested from your own body or processed from donors in a lab, and exosomes along with other biological agents that stimulate natural healing.

As the founder and chief surgeon of the Gerling Institute, Dr. Gerling is a world renowned spinal surgeon dedicated to revolutionizing the treatment of orthopedic and spinal conditions with groundbreaking, patient-centered techniques that emphasize rapid recovery, low complication rates, and consistent longterm success. He was initially focused on developing and teaching minimally invasive surgical techniques that minimize tissue damage from surgery while still delivering comparable or even superior interventions for treating spinal disorders. Incisions are usually less than an inch and often times less than half an inch for endoscopic surgeries that accomplish similar goals, removing damaged disks and bone spurs to unpinch nerves in the spine. These surgeries are possible in the neck, upper and lower back and even the pelvis. According to Dr. Gerling, “these surgeries have revolutionized care, moving large scale surgery from long hospitalized recoveries to ambulatory surgeries with minimal complications”. Though

"Regenerative medicine is transforming spine care, offering cutting-edge biologic treatments-like stem cells, PRP, and exosome therapy—that harness the body's own healing potential. By leveraging these advancements, we can often restore spinal health without the need for invasive procedures, providing a sophisticated, natural approach to long-term wellness."

Dr. Michael Gerling, MD

he still has occasional need to do large scale reconstructive spine surgeries with implants, he says “fusions are less and less relevant in the modern era”.

Many years ago, Dr. Gerling envisioned an institute offering a full spectrum of care, including the addition of regenerative medicine as a middle tier of highly effective options that could supplant the need for surgery and restore musculoskeletal health at an earlier stage of disease. Rather than waiting for degeneration to take over, one could treat joint and spinal problems before permanent damage occurs. “In some cases the cascade of joint breakdown can be reversed with regenerative interventions”, according to the doctor, adding that it is “important that we catch it early”. Though the technology has been available for years, new interventions and options are rapidly evolving. The Gerling Institute has a full research arm with guidance from the internationally renowned scientist, Zorica Buser, PhD, a true thought leader in regenerative spine care. The team has made tremendous contributions to the field’s scientific literature and played instrumental roles in international research trials. Ongoing trials for new regenerative therapies for the

spine are performed in the Gerling Institute with enrollment ongoing for patients that qualify. These studies give patients access to the most cutting edge advancements that are proven to be safe and still undergoing trials for clinical efficacy.

YOUR HOME DIGITAL

began by disrupting the home industry, now focuses on family-friendly program streaming worldwide

ean Stockell launched Your Home Digital in 2015, following a 32-year career in mortgage lending and community banking. He achieved significant success in banking and managed U.S. mortgage production offices in the Midwest and Southeast before a career pivot. Stockell has an entrepreneurial spirit and unique ability to navigate change.

The backstory: Stockell began developing technology for home consumers in 1994, before the Internet emerged as a driving force. His first product was called, LoanSource. It was a floppy disk system, which loaded onto a home PC and provided an easy-to-use guide through the mortgage process. Stockell described his first real-tech endeavor as an experience similar to using TurboTax, but it focused on the home financing industry instead. Stockell said, “it was powerful because it included an interface with a large regional bank, which just happened to be the first beta partner with Freddie Mac on the Loan Prospector automated underwriting system.

Stockell said, “LoanSource included a glossary of real estate terms, a quick guide to compare loan products side-by-side, closing cost estimates, payment calculator, forms to complete for employment and asset verification, the convenient ability to submit a loan application in minutes from a home computer, and receive an automated underwriting loan decision quickly.” He added, “this had never been done before. Our system was developed before the launch of Quicken, Ditech, LendingTree, or Rocket. LoanSource was revolutionary, but timing and partnership issues derailed the project. This was a significant learning experience for me, which led to understanding the importance of ownership control, and extreme caution in partner selection for the future.”

Your Home Digital introduced YourHome1Source.com to the U.S. market in October of 2015, as the nation’s first All-Things-Home website. This extensive home resource portal provides a myriad of home topics and products. It is FREE for site visitors with no registration requirements, no fees, no questions to answer, and no apps to download. YourHome1Source offers about 400 original articles, books and guides, photo galleries for home ideas, DIY resources, links to lenders, insurance providers, home movers, home security, warranty, inspection, home furnishings, and online store. It’s truly a one-stopshop. YourHome1Source expanded into video production and hosting in 2016, launching Your Home TV with more than 200 home product videos. Stockell said, “this was our gateway into global streaming.”

Your Home TV launched in 2022. It is a browser-based global streaming network available on Roku and easily accessed via mobile device worldwide. “It’s a fast-growing OTT platform because Your Home TV focuses on non-scripted original content, not re-run TV series or old movies.”, says Stockell. “Your Home TV is best described as the upstreaming network, because we serve brands, influencers, and upand-coming filmmakers. We’re quite different from the large brand CTV (connected TV) brands like Netflix, Paramount+, or Amazon Prime. Your Home TV features short-run programs, i.e., five to fifteen minutes and ideally serves today’s viewers on mobile devices.” Your Home TV has scaled by forming more than 50 alliances with media partners involved with content creation and distribution though the network.

Board Director, Miles Robinson, says, "I am excited about what founder, Sean Stockell and his passionate team of technology and media partners have created. Their collaboration of producers, influencers, and filmmakers is truly revolutionary in the streaming industry. Your Home TV provides audiences with genuine stories, experiences to cherish,

"Your Home TV is thriving because our network carries original and unique content. We're not limited to rerun content which most streaming networks carry, like redundant movies, documentaries, or television series reruns. Our network covers a multitude of topics and features emerging creative producers who are often overlooked or excluded by megastream outlets. Viewers find our shows about Real People, Real Stories, and Real Life to be compelling. They connect with and develop a relationship with

these stories. Binge watching of our programs is common. It's a wonderful experience, our producers and audience connecting. Your Home TV provides a low cost, high visibility gateway for leading brands to reach new audiences through streaming. Our global streaming network is affordable for brands, influencers, filmmakers, and advertisers to reach millions of viewers in the U.S. and abroad via Your Home TV." says, Sean Stockell, founder and executive producer of Your Home TV.

OPERA ITALIANA IS IN THE AIR

Holds Performance in New York City’s Central Park

“The Serenade at Sunset: Opera for Your Soul” Wows Thousands of first-time listeners and fans of Opera

pera Italiana is in the Air, a Cultural initiative led by renowned conductor, Founder and Music Director Alvise Casellati hosted an outdoor concert at the Naumberg Bandshell in New York City’s Central Park. This special event was offered free to the public with NBC News Entertainment Correspondent, Chloe Melas acting as the Master of Ceremonies and attracted a crowd of thousands to see this special performance.

Opera Italiana is in the Air is a visionary initiative dedicated to celebrating the beauty and diversity of Italian opera while reimagining its role in contemporary culture. Maestro Alvise Casellati seeks to inspire a new generation of opera lovers and redefine its role in the future of classical music. In 2023, UNESCO, the cultural agency of the United Nations, added Italian Opera Singing to its Intangible Cultural Heritage list for protected status.

In the spirit of the UN General Assembly "High Level Debate" underway in New York, the program for this special evening began with Giuseppe Verdi’s Hymn of the Nations, with the idea of melting national anthems of all countries to demonstrate that music unites everyone, and the Maestro united this piece with the US National Anthem. The enthusiasm for this performance caused a standing ovation over many parts of this program, notably during the famous piece "Nessun Dorma" by Puccini which ends with the words "I will win", when all singers sang all together,

after the performance of the piece from Isaac Thomas, the 13-year old composer and the William Tell ouverture.

During the performance, Maestro Casellati took the time to explain how important it is to see new compositions and hire living composers, work with the young musicians and pursue social responsibility projects such that of Opera Italiana working with the Music Therapy Departments of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Hospital and NY Presbyterian Hospital, Weill Cornell Medicine. In these projects, the Maestro stated, “Music elevates Opera to its ultimate most important goal: its ‘healing’ power”.

Special guests’ stars included internationally acclaimed American soprano Latonia Moore, and two of the most sought-after young talents: Chinese-Australian tenor Kang Wang and Georgean-Italian bass George Andguladze. Opera Italiana further collaborates again with Juilliard’s PreCollege program. This year, Maestro Casellati, in a blind competition, selected for the second time a composition by Isaac Thomas, a 12-yearold composer, whom the Maestro refers to as “the Mozart of our times”. His composition “Echoes of the Land” premiered during this special evening.

Opera Italiana is in the Air was created in 2017 in Central Park, New York, following a conversation between Daniele Bodini, Chairman of the FIAC

Foundation, and Alvise Casellati, Conductor and former Secretary of FIAC. Since then, its success has been exponential and it has expanded from Central Park, New York to the cities of Washington and Miami and to the home of Opera in Italy: Naples, Milan and Rome.

Opera Italiana is in the Air continues its collaboration with the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Hospital, Department of Music Therapy and for the first time includes collaboration with the New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center.

Notable attendees included: Alvise Casellati, Chloe Melas, Latonia Moore, Kang Wang, George Andguladze, Isaac Thomas, Cesare Bieller, Deputy Consul General of Italy in NY, Alessandra Oliva and Marta Mammana, Adjunct Consuls of Italy in NY, Fabio Finotti, Director of the Italian Cultural Institute, Daniele Bodini, Philanthropist and Chairman of the Foundation for Italian Art and Culture, Kamel Ghribi, Philanthropist,

President of GKSD Investment Holding & the European Council on Africa and the Middle East, Angelino Alfano, Italian former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Internal & Foreign Affairs, Nicola Baiocchi Country Manager of Intesa Sanpaolo, Gerald Kunde, Director of Ferrero North America, Azzurra Rinaldi representative of ENI in the USA, Maurizio Cuocci and Ilaria Ciaramella of Flower&Klein.

Sponsors for the event include Intesa Sanpaolo, GKSD Investment Holding, Ferrero, The Alexander Bodini Foundation, ENI, Bracco Diagnostics Inc. and Flower&Klein Executive Search. ‘Opera Italiana is in the Air’ is presented under the patronage of the Consulate General of Italy in New York, the Italian Cultural Institute in New York, the Foundation for Italian Art & Culture, The National Italian American Foundation (NIAF) and RFK Italy.

In her heartfelt closing remarks at the panel, Camille Emeagwali, Senior Vice President of Programs at NYWF, affirmed this commitment, declaring, “We are a purpose-driven Foundation.” This guiding belief, she explained, has been NYWF’s foundation and compass, directing its work toward creating meaningful impact.

This commitment was echoed in the speeches of honorees and presenters, each emphasizing NYWF’s enduring dedication to supporting communities, uplifting voices, and driving lasting change. From its founding to the present, NYWF’s mission stands as a testament to purpose-driven work and transformative impact.

Ana L. Oliveira, President & CEO of NYWF, echoed this inspiring message, paying tribute to the founding mothers, whose clear and unwavering vision continues to shape NYWF’s dedication to community empowerment. Their legacy of purpose was not only the heart of the evening’s celebration but also a testament to NYWF’s dedication to transforming lives, building communities, and fostering impactful change.

WHERE STRATEGY MEETS HEART:

The Philosophy Behind Denise Fraile’s Approach to Impact

Denise Fraile: Champion of Purpose-Driven Leadership

Denise Fraile is a former Grand Prix-level equestrian, accomplished artist, and respected leader in business strategy and development. With over 15 years dedicated to the philanthropic community of Palm Beach County and beyond, Denise is known for her strategic leadership, fundraising expertise, and passion for social impact.

She has shared her insights on philanthropy and impact investing as a featured speaker at the Nexus Global Summit and through various thought leadership platforms. Throughout her career, Denise has hosted numerous fundraisers, served on multiple nonprofit boards and committees, and has helped drive considerable philanthropic investment toward causes that create lasting change.

Her work has been recognized with humanitarian awards, honoring her commitment to sustainable change and her belief in the power of collective giving to transform lives and communities.

Why Do You Love the Community of Palm Beach County?

Palm Beach County is more than just a beautiful place — it’s a community with heart. What makes it so special are the people who show up, lean in, and work together to make a difference. There’s a genuine spirit of connection here. Giving back isn’t just something people do — it’s part of who they are.

How Do You Define Sustainable Impact in Philanthropy?

Philanthropy should never be about quick fixes — I’m passionate about sustainability because real change happens when we address root causes, not just the immediate issues on the surface. Whether I’m helping nonprofits scale their programs or advising on strategy, my focus is always on measurable, lasting outcomes — change that continues to grow well beyond the initial effort. I also believe in the power of prevention. If we can dial back as far as possible to prevent a problem before it starts, we not only minimize cost — we often reduce suffering.

Why Is Collective Giving at the Heart of Your Approach?

I believe deeply in the power of collective giving. Transformational change happens when people come together — sharing their time, expertise, relationships, and passion, not only financial resources. It’s a mosaic of diverse actions that, together, create meaningful impact. When I work with nonprofits, my focus is on building collaboration around a shared mission. I’ve seen how powerful it is when people feel truly engaged — not just as donors, but as active participants. That sense of collective ownership is what fuels lasting momentum and real change.

How Do You Continue to Build a Legacy of Impact?

In a philanthropic landscape often marked by competition for funding, I believe deeply in collaboration over competition. When nonprofits work together, we can tackle bigger challenges, break harmful cycles more effectively, and make smarter use of limited resources. The issues facing our communities are rarely solved by a single service—they

require multiple steps and coordinated efforts. By aligning organizations to contribute their unique strengths, rather than working in silos, we achieve better outcomes and provide higher-quality support to those who need it most. I also prioritize sustainability, strategic growth, and measurable impact—always asking: How will this initiative sustain itself and continue to create value over time? Fundraising is part of the equation, but never the sole focus.

Which Organizations Do You Love to Work With?

I’m especially passionate about working with grassroots organizations — the ones that may not always be in the spotlight but are doing the real, hands-on work where it’s needed most. These groups are essential because they truly understand the people they serve and have a meaningful footprint in the community. Some of the organizations closest to my heart are the MoviesMakingADifference, Women’s Foundation of Florida, Families First of Palm Beach County, and Vita Nova. Each plays a critical role — from empowering women and girls to supporting families in crisis, guiding young adults aging out of foster care, and advocating for survivors of human trafficking.

How has your work in philanthropy inspired your niece Alexandra, and why is it important to you to pass these values on to the next generation?

I believe the seeds of compassion, generosity, and social responsibility are best planted early. Teaching the next generation to give back isn’t just a lesson to me—it’s a legacy. This belief shines through my close relationship with my niece, Alexandra, who has been learning firsthand what it means to make a meaningful difference. Whether supporting animal rescues or, most recently, choosing to direct her efforts toward Families First of Palm Beach County—a cause close to my heart— Alexandra reflects the values I hope to inspire in young people everywhere. Seeing her passion for giving back is a powerful reminder that when we nurture kindness early on, we help shape not only future leaders, but a more compassionate and connected world.
