ROLLS-ROYCE AND YACHTING: A SHARED HERITAGE

A SPRINGTIME VISION TO CARRY INTO THE YEAR AHEAD

The Nature of Jean Schlumberger.

PUBLISHER’S NOTE

“The name’s Bond, James Bond” -007

If you like James Bond movies like I do— you probably also appreciate magnificent cars, planes, yachts, beautiful women and adventure.

Metropolitan Palm Beach Spring Issue offers all of that in abundance. Melissa Hornung, the founder of Palm Beach Models, knows that a proper martini is shaken, not stirred and best enjoyed on a Bondvillain type yacht called the Octopus with caviar, fresh seafood and her gorgeous models. Melissa, an expert on fashion, travel and art, is just the latest addition to our Metropolitan Palm Beach magazine team. She brings beauty, brains and business savvy to Palm Beach’s leading luxury magazine.

Cover star Julianna Strout is a former Miss America contestant who is all about making life better for Palm Beach residents—so honored to feature her and her daughter in the current issue.

Real estate rising star and world traveler Jaime Backer is also featured in the magazine with her terrific review of Italy’s Milu hotel. Jaime is one of my three beautiful and brilliant daughters. I could not be more proud of all of these impressive young women.

Truly blessed.

Cheers!

“You can never quit. Winners never quit, and quitters never win.”

“Oh, how this spring of love resembleth, The uncertain glory of an April day, Which now shows all beauty of the Sun, And by and by a cloud takes all away”

- William Shakespeare

In the 1990’s I worked for CNN as an entertainment writer/producer for over a decade interviewing all kinds of celebrities like Madonna, Keith Richards and Jerry Garcia, just to name a few, for CNN Showbiz This Weekend with Bill Tush. My favorite cable-TV legend.

Spring is here and Metropolitan magazine is also in full bloom with stories on the latest in fashion, health, wellness and beauty.

At an event commemorating Casablanca, I was with my CNN camera-crew and tossed a softball at my boss, Ted Turner, “why is Casablanca such a timeless classic?” His initial response before answering fully was “Well, er uh that’s a stupid question!” I must have looked crestfallen because suddenly I felt a comforting pat on my arm from none other than Jane Fonda who whispered “don’t pay attention to that.” Ted Turner was a truth-teller, a visionary and a tremendous boss and person. He will be missed.

Celebrating beauty and empowering women is what Chase Backer, luxury magazine publisher and Palm Beach Advanced Aesthetics MedSpa owner, is all about. Nobody does it better. And nobody cares more about striving to be your best. That’s why everybody loves Chase. He is a loyal friend and a visionary businessman who is in constant pursuit of excellence, thinking bigger and never giving up on what or who he believes in. Chase is all about new chapters, new stories, and new adventures while always supporting worthwhile charities and celebrating his friends, old and new.

Cover Star Kimberly Guilfoyle is just one of Chase’s extraordinary, multi-talented friends. She honors us yet again. So do you, dear reader.

The boss of Metropolitan Palm Beach is also a maverick and visionary. Chase Backer pushes our magazine staff to be our best and to think bigger always. His Advanced Aesthetics MedSpa in Palm Beach is a huge success because Chase knows that looking and feeling one’s best is a key to happiness and greater success.

Cheers!

Looking gorgeous on the Spring cover is Miss America contestant turned political powerbroker Julianna Strout. Julianna is joined in the issue by other indomitable women of power like top lawyer/ legal headhunter Sharon Mahn, Xen Sams, Jen Selter, Leah Logue, Melissa Hornung and Julianne Michelle. As Spring gives way to Summer, Metropolitan continues to bloom into a magic garden with fashion and art to inspire and delight our readers. There are also some cool features on The Kentucky Derby and the New York Yankees as well—how about that!

Champagne, Caviar and Superyachts

A Dockside Celebration of Culinary Luxury, Fashion, and Yachting Glamour During the Palm Beach International Boat Show

An elegant evening aboard a Feadship superyacht brought together world class cuisine, waterfront fashion, and the unmistakable glamour of Palm Beach during the height of boat show week.

During the height of the Palm Beach International Boat Show, where some of the world's most remarkable vessels gather along the Palm Beach waterfront, guests stepped aboard the striking Octopus, a 49 meter superyacht crafted by the legendary Dutch shipyard Feadship, widely regarded as the Rolls Royce of yacht builders, and presented by the esteemed brokerage Moran Yacht and Ship.

Hosted by Palm Beach Models PR and Global Activations, the elegant evening unfolded as an immersive culinary and social experience curated by Provide and Supply, the internationally respected superyacht provisioning company known for sourcing exceptional ingredients for yachts and private clients around the world. Provide & Supply is a global superyacht provisioning and luxury hospitality supplier serving the world’s leading yachts, cruise vessels, chefs, and interior teams.

In collaboration with distinguished partners including Bester Caviar, Ocean Wild Seafood, Polits Steak and Seafood, ABC Fine Wine and Spirits, and Southern Glazer's Travel Sales and Export, guests enjoyed a remarkable presentation of global delicacies. Premium caviar tastings, Wagyu beef selections, and dramatic seafood towers were complemented by a continuous flow of refined passed hors d'oeuvres while fine wines and champagne circulated throughout the yacht's elegant decks.

Guests arrived through the iconic bright yellow arches of Moran Yacht and Ship's waterfront lounge, widely recognized as one of the most exclusive gathering points during boat show week. With velvet ropes and carefully managed guest lists ensuring a refined and intimate atmosphere, invited guests were welcomed into the dockside setting before boarding the evening's host vessel.

Moored alongside Octopus was Amore a Vida, a spectacular 70 meter custom mega yacht designed by the renowned Italian studio Nuvolari Lenard. Together the two extraordinary vessels created a dramatic marina backdrop that perfectly captured the glamour and international spirit of Palm Beach during the height of the season.

Throughout the evening, guests moved effortlessly between interior salons and open air decks overlooking the illuminated marina, enjoying the culinary presentation while taking in the remarkable setting of superyachts stretching across the waterfront.

Palm Beach Models hostesses welcomed guests dressed in Slim Aarons inspired styling, crisp white dresses paired with colorful Pucci scarves, offering

champagne and delicacies as the evening unfolded. Carefully curated details throughout the evening reflected the signature approach of Palm Beach Models PR and Global Activations, whose events are known for blending fashion, hospitality, and the relaxed elegance that defines the Palm Beach social season.

As twilight settled over the marina, guests aboard the yacht were treated to a striking fashion moment along the docks below. Designer Milly Park presented an elegant waterfront runway show staged between a fleet of illuminated superyachts. Under dramatic lighting reflecting across the water, models glided along the dockside runway while guests watched from the decks above, creating a dazzling fusion of fashion, yachting culture, and classic Palm Beach glamour.

The guest list reflected the international nature of the Palm Beach boating community, bringing together members of Palm Beach society alongside visitors who move seasonally between Palm Beach, Monaco, and Sotogrande. As the marina lights shimmered across the water, the evening aboard Octopus captured the essence of Palm Beach at its most refined, where world class hospitality, international fashion, and the glamour of the global yachting community converge.

Culinary presentation by Provide and Supply with partners Bester Caviar, Ocean Wild Seafood, Polits Steak and Seafood, ABC Fine Wine and Spirits, and Southern Glazer's Travel Sales and Export.

SPOTLIGHT WITH JULIANNE MICHELLE

Longevity Through a Wellness Lens

On May 10, 2025, I had the privilege of hosting an extraordinary evening at Sophie Kanter’s elegant Upper East Side townhouse in support of Mommy’s Heart, the nonprofit I founded to provide free legal, mental health, and advocacy services to survivors of domestic abuse. The event brought together philanthropists, advocates, and public figures from across political and professional lines, all united in our shared mission to protect children and parents at risk.

One of the evening’s defining moments was honoring New York State Assembly Member Rebecca Seawright with the Mommy’s Heart Champion for Families and Justice Award for her dedication to advancing family court reform. Among our distinguished guests were Virginia Maloney (Democratic Nominee, NYC Council District 4 and board member), Alina Bonsell (Republican Nominee, District 5), Sir Ivan Wilzig, Dr. Elliot Heller, James Pecora, Count Edward Stroh, and fellow board

members Nadira Saban and Justin Alexander. I was deeply grateful to our volunteers, Chris Agianian and Gee Wang, whose efforts ensured the event ran seamlessly, as well as to Annie Watt for her outstanding photography and PairMe Wines for their generous contribution. A highlight of the evening was guest speaker Dr. Nadine Macaluso, psychotherapist, author, and survivor whose life inspired The Wolf of Wall Street’s Naomi Lapaglia. Dr. Macaluso shared her powerful story of surviving abuse and rebuilding her life, later channeling her experience into meaningful advocacy work. Her recent book, Run Like Hell: A Therapist’s Guide to Recognizing, Escaping, and Healing from Trauma Bonds, offers invaluable insight and support to survivors across the world.

Since founding Mommy’s Heart, I’ve witnessed firsthand how urgently our services are needed. We’ve assisted over 100 survivors forced to battle lawfare while seeking safety from abuse. Our volunteer-run organization continues to champion legislative reform, most notably supporting bill A01154/S6825, which seeks to hold courts accountable when systemic failures place children in harm’s way. The statistics are staggering. 2,000 children die each year from neglect or abuse, and 58,000 are courtordered into unsafe custody arrangements.

The funds raised at this benefit directly support Mommy’s Heart’s trauma-informed legal assistance, mental health resources, and advocacy initiatives. Each donation helps protect families navigating the most painful and complex challenges of their lives and moves us closer to a future where justice and safety are within every survivor’s reach.

THE ART OF STILLNESS IN

MILAN

ust steps from the Duomo, tucked quietly among Milan’s most storied streets, sits Hotel MiLu, a place that understands rhythm. Amid flashing cameras, grand façades, and the polished energy of nearby boutiques, MiLu feels like a pause that never interrupts your pace. It welcomes writers seeking clarity, solo travelers moving intuitively, couples drawn to understated romance, or friends who value the quality of ease. Its entrance is discreet and easy to miss, a subtle transition from the city’s momentum into something more composed.

From the moment you arrive, hospitality unfolds with intention. The staff moves with a quiet confidence, attentive without interruption, polished yet warm. Whether offering thoughtful local recommendations or simply ensuring your comfort, their approach feels aligned with your rhythm, never rushed and never imposed.

This is not a hotel built for corporate uniformity or excess. MiLu reflects the sensibility of a modern Milanese apartment, sleek, intelligent, and effortlessly cool. Clean lines, muted tones, and carefully curated design create an atmosphere that feels calm without ever becoming static. It is a space designed for those who move quickly through the world but value a place that allows them to unwind with style and intention.

Milan reveals itself best to those who follow its flow. Ancient stone stands beside modern glass, and the city rewards curiosity over urgency. Days unfold through long lunches, spontaneous detours, and evenings spent wandering illuminated streets. Staying at MiLu places you directly within this cadence, offering a base that feels both central and quietly removed, allowing the city to meet you at your own pace.

After a full day exploring the Pinacoteca di Brera, savoring risotto alla milanese, or lingering over an aperitivo along the Navigli canal, returning to MiLu feels like home. The door closes and the city’s hum softens. Warm interiors, crisp linens, and restrained comfort offer a sense of indulgence. The room does not demand attention. It restores it.

Morning arrives gently, carried by the aroma of espresso and a curated breakfast of flaky pastries, yogurt, and fresh fruit. Breakfast feels less like a ritual and more like a continuation of the experience, relaxed, refined, and unhurried. The staff’s presence is subtle yet precise, reinforcing the sense that everything flows exactly as it should. It is the kind of morning that allows you to recalibrate before stepping back into Milan’s sleek, fast-moving streets.

In a city defined by design, fashion, and forward motion, Hotel MiLu offers hospitality that mirrors Milan itself. Smart, stylish, and quietly confident. It is a place for those who dream boldly, move freely, and unwind with intention. A stay that does not slow you down, but meets you exactly where you are.

LEAH LOGUE

SETTING THE STAGE: on Design, Determination, and Defying a Stage IV Diagnosis

eah Logue, one of Palm Beach’s most in-demand interior designers, has been quietly fighting for her life behind the scenes: delivering headline-worthy design while undergoing treatment for stage IV metastatic colon cancer. Known for her bold, detaildriven aesthetic, Logue’s story blends design excellence with extraordinary resilience — offering a powerful narrative about creativity, purpose, and perseverance.

A second-generation South Floridian, Logue is largely self-taught, having spent more than a decade flipping properties hands-on before transitioning into full-scale interior design and ground-up construction projects. What began as informal decorating and consulting evolved rapidly into a thriving design firm working alongside leading architects and developers, with a client roster that includes professional athletes, celebrities, business moguls, and Palm Beach’s most discerning homeowners.

Logue’s work is instantly recognizable — a sophisticated balance of transitional design layered with coastal influences, statement moments, and unexpected details. Her reputation for precision and hands-on involvement has made her exceptionally selective in accepting projects. A self-described perfectionist, Logue oversees every detail from conception to completion, often committing months or years to a single vision — a level of dedication that has led to a business built largely on referrals and repeat clients.

“Design has always been about creating joy, beauty, and meaning,” Logue shares. “Cancer didn’t change that — it clarified it.”

In March, Logue was diagnosed with stage IV terminal metastatic colon cancer, with widespread disease including over 50% of her liver. Given months to live, she made the decision to pursue chemotherapy alongside holistic therapies — a choice that transformed her life but did not stop her work. Instead, she continued designing, leading projects, and showing up creatively while undergoing treatment.

“Design has always been about creating joy, beauty, and meaning,” Logue shares. “Cancer didn’t change that — it clarified it.”

Despite the physical demands of treatment, Logue remains deeply involved in her projects, continuing to design spaces that evoke emotion, gratitude, and connection. Her ability to maintain creative leadership while navigating illness has inspired clients, colleagues, and followers alike, reframing the conversation around what resilience truly looks like. For Leah, design has never been just about aesthetics, “It’s about intention, integrity, and creating spaces that evoke emotion” — values that became even more essential after her diagnosis. Her story is not one of stepping away — but of standing fully in purpose.

It offers a rare and powerful look at resilience, redefining success, and what it means to continue building beauty when life demands courage. As she continues to design and advocate for living intentionally, her work serves as a testament to perseverance and the healing power of creativity.

JULIANNA

STROUT

From Miss America

Pageant to Politics

Crowns and campaign signs are rarely in the same realm, however, for Julianna Strout, it is simply another day. At first glance, she embodies the classic image of beauty pageant elegance – polished, poised, and runway-ready. Once Miss Rhode Island, Strout has since blazed a career from the stage to the public office, cultivating a life rooted in authenticity and less in appearance. From entrepreneurship to motherhood, Julianna Strout has spent years redefining the term “influence,” transforming public visibility into a platform for advocacy of women’s empowerment. Her story is not one of reinvention but evolution. Strout is a woman shaped by an enduring commitment to service.

AK: Julianna, how did winning Miss Rhode Island shape your perspective on beauty, confidence, and public service?

JS: When I became Miss Rhode Island, I didn’t fully understand the level of responsibility that came with stepping into a public spotlight so quickly. Social media was just emerging — forums and Facebook were taking off — and suddenly I was receiving fan mail from around the world. It was overwhelming, but it also grounded me. I was reporting to a board going to compete against the brightest and most talented women across America. You have a higher probability of your son playing in the superbowl than your daughter going to compete at Miss America ! It taught me that beauty and confidence aren’t about perfection; they’re about showing up with purpose. Representing my state gave me a firsthand glimpse into how deeply people crave connection, inspiration, and authentic role models. The experience transformed my idea of public service — it made me realize that visibility is a privilege, and using your voice to help others is the highest form of beauty.

AK: What inspired your shift from beauty pageant queen to politician, and what were some key challenges you faced?

JS: My desire to serve in politics actually started long before pageants. I grew up in a political family, and even ran for office in middle school. I always imagined myself stepping into leadership roles, advocating for the community, and using my voice to create meaningful change. Ironically, I believed that my singing talent and earning a state title could help me get directly into the State House — that the Miss America stage would help me make connections and begin my political career. And in many ways, it did.

Through the Miss America opportunity, I was able to further my education — my MBA and Bachelor of Science were paid for through the program. It allowed me to educate others about what Miss America truly is: the largest scholarship provider for young women in the United States. Transitioning into elected office came with challenges — scrutiny, long hours, and being held accountable in very public ways. But those experiences taught me resilience, humility, and the importance of standing firm in your values.

AK: As founder of the SRQ Women’s Expo, what drives your passion for supporting women in business and promoting self-care?

JS: My journey has been shaped by loss, single motherhood, rebuilding my life from scratch, and navigating a world that often underestimates women. I know what it feels like to have to start over, to juggle work, motherhood, ambition, and grief — all while still trying to show up for everyone else. Creating the SRQ Women’s Expo was my way of giving women a space where they’re seen, celebrated, and supported. It blends business, beauty, community, and self-care — because women deserve environments where they can grow professionally and nourish themselves personally. Empowering women is not just my passion; it’s my purpose.

AK: How do you manage everything in your busy life? Any exercise/nutrition/beauty/parenting advice for our readers?

JS: Sleep and hydration are everything. I start my days early, and I’m not afraid to ask for help — that’s something every mother and every leader needs to hear. I carve out alone time, even if it’s just for a quiet walk, to keep my mind grounded. I love juicing, especially in the mornings. My daily routine usually includes high protein for breakfast, a kale salad with salmon for lunch, and something light for dinner. Daily balance isn’t about doing it all — it’s about doing what keeps you healthy, peaceful, and present. If you show up that’s half the battle won.

AK: Can you share a memorable experience from your time as City Commissioner that highlights your commitment to community development?

JS: One of the most meaningful moments was having my dad campaign with me the day I won. I’ll never forget that. Later, when I was sworn in as City Commissioner, my grandmother

brought a photo of my grandfather campaigning for JFK when he served as a Massachusetts State Representative. It felt like a full-circle moment — three generations tied together by service and hope. My very first commission meeting, I jumped in full force, immediately focusing on the promises I made during my campaign. And I kept them. There is no better feeling than delivering on what you told your community you would do — honoring the trust they placed in you.

AK: How have your experiences influenced your approach to life and leadership?

JS: Being thrust into the spotlight at a young age, losing my entire immediate family, and becoming a single mother all reshaped my understanding of resilience. My life has been a blend of public visibility and deeply personal hardship, and that contrast taught me compassion, grit, and grace. I lead with transparency, empathy, and strength because I know what it feels like to be vulnerable — and what it feels like to rise anyway.

AK: What are some of your current and future goals?

JS: I’m focused on expanding the SRQ Women’s Expo to Miami, Orlando, and across the Gulf Coast, creating spaces for more women to connect and succeed. I’m also continuing my work in pageantry as the Executive Director of Miss Maine, honoring my father’s dream for me.

And politically — if the right seat becomes available — I might consider jumping back into the race. Public service will always be part of who I am. My long-term goal is to continue building platforms that uplift women, families, and communities on every level.

"My journey has been shaped by loss, single motherhood, rebuilding my life from scratch, and navigating a world that often underestimates women. I know what it feels like to have to start over, to juggle work, motherhood, ambition, and grief

— all while still trying to show up for everyone else."

JEN

SELTER

Health Influencer Jen Selter shares the secrets to her success

You were one of the original influencers before the word even existed. How has the industry changed since you started, and how do you continue to reinvent yourself?

J: When I first started, the word influencer didn’t even exist. I was just sharing my workouts and lifestyle online because I loved connecting with people, not because I thought it would ever become a career. Back then, everything was organic no rules, no playbooks, just real connection. Today, the industry is much more structured. There are contracts, metrics, strategy, and brands now understand the power of social. To reinvent myself, I stay curious. I experiment with new content, and I listen to my audience. I’ve learned that growth comes from adapting while staying true to who you are. Trends come and go, but authenticity lasts.

What’s one piece of advice you’d give to someone looking to stay motivated and consistent in their health or personal goals?

Stop aiming for perfection, focus on consistency. You don’t need a perfect workout, a perfect meal plan, or a perfect routine. You just need to show up for yourself daily in small ways. I always say: it’s the little habits that build big results. Motivation will always come and go, but discipline and self-love are what keep you moving forward.

What do you think has been the secret to keeping your audience engaged for over a decade in such a fast-changing digital world?

I think the real secret is connection. Trends change, platforms change, but people always want to feel seen and understood. From the beginning, I’ve treated my community like friends I share the highs, the struggles, the funny bloopers, and the lessons I’m learning. I’ve also never been afraid to evolve. When the industry shifted, I shifted with it, whether that meant trying new platforms, new content formats, or exploring wellness beyond just fitness. But at the core, I’ve stayed true to who I am. Authenticity is what people stick around for, no matter how much the digital world changes.

I’ve realized health is really about longevity creating habits that allow me to feel energized, balanced, and strong down the road, not just for the moment.

You’ve inspired millions with your fitness journey. How has your definition of “health” evolved from your early 20s to now?

In my early 20s, I thought health was just about training hard, eating clean, and chasing a certain look. But as I’ve grown, I’ve realized health is really about longevity creating habits that allow me to feel energized, balanced, and strong down the road, not just for the moment. To me now, health means managing stress, taking care of my gut, and making sure my body can recover just as well as it performs. It’s about doing things today that my future self will thank me for whether that’s better sleep, lifting weights for strength, or focusing on nutrition that supports my energy long-term. True health isn’t just how many years you live, but the quality of those years. That’s what I care about now: not just adding years to my life, but adding life to my years.

Sean Stockell, CEO of Your Home Digital LLC and Executive Producer of Your Home TV. “Her show consistently ranks in our top 1% with more than 5 million views. Xen collaborates enthusiastically with diverse thought leaders, delivering insightful content across topics that truly resonate.”

The Power of the Ecosystem

Sams has engineered what she calls The Moment of Xen Ecosystem, a synergistic network where advertisers, influencers, experts, and VIPs all collaborate under one storytelling roof. Each recurring segment , whether Hydration with Heart, Clean Collective, or Going Deep ; is designed not as an ad, but as a shared narrative that turns brands into characters audiences genuinely connect with.

“Partnering with Xen for Once Upon A Coconut’s Hydration with Heart segment has been nothing short of legendary,” the brand’s team says. “The energy, authenticity, and passion she brings to both the show and our brand align perfectly with our mission. Seeing the show’s continued growth and national reach is no surprise , it’s exactly where this magic belongs.”

Lumisque Skincare Founder, Lana Kerr , Home of CO₂Lift, echos that praise:

“Congratulations, Xen! We are so proud of you and in awe of your brilliance,” says the Lumisque team. “Your vast knowledge, the genuine way you connect with guests, and how seamlessly you align with our brand values truly set you apart. Your professionalism and warmth elevate every interaction.”

And Shawn Dougherty, Co-Founder & COO of Society Brands — whose portfolio includes Cleanomic, Crunchi.com, Primal Life Organics, Wolf Tactical, to name a few - adds:

“At Society Brands, we partner with founders and storytellers who think beyond the product , and that’s exactly what Xen Sams represents. A Moment of Xen is more than a show; it’s a movement connecting purpose-driven brands with an engaged national audience. As the media ambassador for several companies in our portfolio, Xen brings authenticity, energy, and credibility to every collaboration. Her platform sets a new standard for how mission-based brands connect with consumers.”

From Local Phenomenon to National Sensation

Today, A Moment of Xen reaches millions through both terrestrial radio and global digital streaming. Its influencer-driven model extends far beyond airwaves: the show’s Instagram presence generates over 1 million views per month, fueled by a roster of “showfluencers” who amplify each episode’s message.

On the streaming side, A Moment of Xen enjoys worldwide distribution on Your Home TV (OTT platform) — where it has surpassed 5 million views since its 2022 debut — and on Traverse TV (overthe-air broadcast), delivering both accessibility and prestige to a broad, multi-demographic audience reaching over 1.2 million subscribers, over 1700 hotels in Orlando's hotel row.

For sponsors, this integrated reach translates into measurable impact. Sams’ format isn’t about selling, it’s about storytelling. Listeners don’t just tune in; they follow, share, and engage.

“Xen Sams has built a media ecosystem that mirrors the way Society Brands builds companies, rooted in authenticity, community, and performance,” notes Dougherty.

Building an Era of Connection

Beyond ratings and reach, Xen Sams is redefining what it means to host. She writes, produces, and directs every segment , ensuring that education, empathy, and entertainment intersect seamlessly.

Her partnership with Dr. Robert Melillo, Founder of The Melillo Centers for Developing Brains and creator of the Brain Blueprint and Right Brain segments, showcases her commitment to content that informs as much as it inspires.

“Collaborating with Xen Sams has been one of the most dynamic media experiences of my career,” says Dr. Melillo. “Through our segments, she’s created a space where neuroscience meets everyday life, making complex topics about brain balance and child development accessible to millions. Xen is not just interviewing experts; she’s elevating public awareness, one conversation at a time.”

Through her ever-expanding network, Sams now oversees an integrated platform that combines:

• Branded Segments with premium partnerships

• Cross-Market Broadcast: flagship station WOR 710 AM in NYC; WNEW FM 3 at 9 AM EST; national airtime across Los Angeles, Atlanta, Dallas, and more to come.

• Influencer Integration: a digital collective of experts, creators, and guests who extend the show’s message to millions monthly.

• Philanthropy & Purpose: initiatives like We Play It Forward and Hydration with Heart, merging entertainment with impact.

The Moment Expands

As A Moment of Xen continues its national rollout and digital growth, one truth remains constant: Xen Sams is not following trends , she’s creating them. With a century-old flagship station as her foundation, a nationwide radio footprint, and a global digital audience exceeding five million views, she’s built more than a broadcast.

She’s built an ecosystem, one that unites brands, experts, and audiences under a shared purpose: to educate, elevate, and entertain.

In a media landscape hungry for authenticity, Xen Sams delivers it - one moment, one microphone, one meaningful connection at a time.

AAesha Waks

esha Waks can do it all and frequently does. Actress, singer author, educator, advocate, Aesha is always spectacular. Not simply as a multi-talented creative, Aesha is an amazing person and friend to all who know and appreciate her inner greatness and beauty from the inside-out.

Q: Aesha, tell us about your latest movie

AW: Hellbound Covenant is a George “Firewalker” Carlson film produced by Akash Inti Katakam about a cult, taking place in the 1970’s, very Manson like. My character has a blackened past, rescued from her dead mothers arms and a life of incest, dropped off on the stoop of this cult. They become her family and she will do anything to prove her loyalty. The film has a biblical spine to it.

Q: You are also starring in another horror film?

AW: Hellbound Covenant is one of two horror films I recently acted in. The other is called Lords Valley, written by Geraldo Uscategui, directed by Christian Fescine and produced by Ross Laterra. I play the ghost of a police officer’s wife, where his mind is playing tricks on him filmed on body cam. I felt that horror films were the mood for me right now. Eventually I would like to get into romcoms as well.

Q: Heard that you recently got involved w boxing. How was that?

AW: About 5 years ago I was scouted as a round card model for FDNY boxing, Bobby McGuire and USA boxing metro. I have since appeared in my second show at Madison Square Garden outside of all of my community events. It’s my pleasure to support our amazing boxers and events.

MARK SEIDENFELD

When asked to describe my approach to painting, I typically respond, saying ‘I set my sails for the deep and uncharted waters.’

You see, for me, painting is not a relaxing pastime or an exercise in decoration. It is a journey to a secret and dangerous place that I call the Unknown. It is only by navigating, and sometimes fighting my way to this place beyond influences and past experiences, that I have the chance to make something true, and unique to me.

Painting is the tool I use to search for my own singular creative voice and language. It demands that I face doubts, fears, and insecurities, to overcome them. As a society, we have stories, great myths, about heroes who leave the safety of their homes to journey into unknown lands, face demons, and return with new knowledge to save their

DESTINY RIDES A WAVE

people. This ‘hero’s journey’ is what the artist takes in his or her studio. I risk ridicule, failure, everything, to move into deeper places of perception and wonder, parts of the mind that remain hidden unless I force my way in. With no map and no clear direction, I will myself to travel internally, to lands of magic, in the hope I will return, having created something which reflects my experience.

I cannot speak for others, my approach to painting is sacred to me. And I know that work created by my formula shimmers because it reflects the struggle to be truthful. My painting is an alchemical process which transforms my emotions, vision, awareness and instinct into something illuminated and empowered. I believe art is a powerful weapon; a weapon of awareness. If it makes the viewer see something she has never seen before, then her life is different, transformed. For me, art is a transformation accelerator.

WHEN FLOWERS WHISPER

Inside Los Angeles Art Week:

Frieze, Felix, and the Road to Venice

Los Angeles in late February carries a particular glow. The light is crisp, the air warm, and for one week the city becomes a crossroads for the global art world. As I arrived at Frieze Los Angeles on opening day at the Santa Monica Airport, the familiar rhythm of the art fair circuit was already unfolding. There is always that moment when you step into the tent and feel the hum of conversation, the flash of familiar faces, and the quiet anticipation of discovery.

Before I even reached the aisles of the fair, the greetings began. The art world has its own choreography of embraces and quick reunions, and opening day is always full of them. I spotted Studio Museum of Harlem’s Thelma Golden across the room exchanging warm high hellos with friends and colleagues. This year her presence carried an added sense of celebration. After years of anticipation, she has just

reopened the Studio Museum in Harlem, a monumental moment for one of the most important institutions, seeing her move through Frieze felt like the celebration continuing on the West Coast.

The coffee line at Frieze is always its own small salon of the art world. Waiting for my morning espresso in a line that circled down the hall, I found myself speaking with curator Marisa Caichilio who together with Derms P. Leon is presenting the Chilean Pavillion for the 61st Venice Biennale. She stood there smiling, full of bright enthusiasm, speaking about the momentum building toward the upcoming Venice Biennale and how we both look forward the adventures. It was one of those fleeting but memorable encounters that happens constantly at art fairs, chance encounters and exchange socials quickly! Curators, artists, and writers from across the world suddenly find themselves in conversation over coffee, exchanging ideas

that will soon take shape in exhibitions thousands of miles away. Walking deeper into the fair, I paused at the booth of Lisson Gallery where owner Alex Longsdale was being interviewed while some of my favorite friend Pedro Reyes artworks hung on the wall nearby. Collectors drifted by while curators quietly circled the presentation. These small scenes inside the larger spectacle of an art fair are always fascinating to observe. Somewhere in those conversations the next exhibitions and collaborations begin to take shape. Nearby, White Cube presented sculptures by Antony Gormley that seemed to hold their ground against the constant motion of the crowd. The familiar human forms, cast with Gormley’s quiet gravity, created a moment of stillness within the fair’s restless energy. While in a far the work from the 1970’s of Louise Nevelson sculpture just quietly was holding presence.

Frieze Los Angeles always brings together a curious mix of the art world and Hollywood. At one moment you might pass a serious curator studying a painting, and at the next you see James Franco weaving through the aisles with a small group, pausing occasionally to look more closely at the work. A few minutes later another small scene unfolded that perfectly captured the crossover energy of Los Angeles. I noticed Dustin Yellin guiding Scooter Braun toward the booth of Almine Rech. Yellin moved with the quiet excitement of someone eager to share a discovery. Braun, known for building major music careers and later expanding into media and investment, has increasingly appeared in the contemporary art world as a collector and cultural supporter. They paused just near the middle of the booth entrance where Dustin's small sculpture sat quietly, modest in scale and almost easy to overlook among the surrounding works. Yet that is often where the magic of an art fair lives, in these intimate objects that quietly command attention if you take the time to notice them.

Outside the tent, the public art program produced in collaboration with Art Production Fund once again animated the grounds of Frieze Los Angeles. Known for commissioning ambitious works that bring contemporary art into the public sphere, the organization has turned the open landscape of the Santa Monica Airport into one of the most compelling spaces of the fair each year. This edition featured a group of Los Angeles–based artists including Amanda RossHo, Kohshin Finley, Shana Hoehn, Kelly Wall, and Cosmas & Damian Brown, whose projects explored the physical and symbolic presence of the body in space. Among the most striking moments unfolded just beyond the tent where Ross-Ho

staged a durational performance titled Untitled Orbit (MANUAL MODE), slowly guiding a monumental inflatable globe across the grassy field as visitors gathered around to watch the world literally roll through the landscape. In the bright California sun the gesture felt at once humorous and quietly mythic, evoking Atlas bearing the weight of the world, and reminding viewers that even within the spectacle of an art fair, artists continue to grapple with the gravity of the moment, pushing the world forward one careful rotation at a time.

Later that afternoon I crossed the city to the Felix Art Fair at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. If Frieze is the grand stage, Felix feels like a salon. You wander from hotel room to balcony discovering artworks as if visiting collectors’ private apartments. The pace slows down. Artists sit beside their work. Conversations linger longer. Moving through Felix, I was reminded why Los Angeles Art Week has become such an essential stop on the global art calendar. The atmosphere feels relaxed yet deeply engaged. Dealers mingling discussing future exhibitions while collectors wander from room to room discovering artists in unexpected places such as even the bathroom! My friends like DIMIN Gallery, Yossi Milo, Uffner and Liu, Timothy Hawskinson Gallery, Plato Gallery were full of enthusiam and great sales, their programs bringing a next generation of artist to the forefront. The

dealers all approachable and accessible, sometimes an empty rooms or one assistant, you felt like you were visiting a private refine space with a new discovery at every turn. By the end of the day the rhythm of the week had settled in. Frieze with its sweeping international scale, Felix with its intimate charm, and across both fairs the same feeling of momentum returning to the art world.

By the end of the week I was reminded that art fairs are never only about the works on the walls. They are equally about the people who orbit them. Friends reconnecting after months of travel, artists quietly preparing what will soon be seen in their next exhibitions, curators and artists speaking excitedly about Venice over morning coffee between the aisles. I appreciated it all in a different light after visiting countless artfairs for over 20 years, I will admit it was interesting to return to Los Angeles during Frieze week and see it becoming its own constellation of moments moving between tents, hotel rooms, galleries, and outdoor installations, a kind of otherworldly spin of encounters and ideas unfolding across the city. For a few days the art world gathers here, catching up, looking ahead, and inevitably turning its gaze toward the next great gathering. As it so often does, the road from Los Angeles leads toward Venice.... here we all now anticipating the 61st Annual Venice Biennale this coming May!

WILLEHAD EILERS

Eilers' practice is rooted in a sustained inquiry into the ambivalent excesses of Western society. He has long been preoccupied with what he describes as the "wallowing of pigs in paradise" - the way material abundance and the absence of genuine hardship redirect human desire inward, toward self-optimization and the performance of fulfillment. With humor and irony, Eilers uses cheerful exaggeration to close the distance between viewer and subject, between society and its reflection.

For our first collaboration with Eilers, we are presenting one new painting in the style he is known for, and six oil-onpaper works from a new series, Red Room. Each work stages an intimate scene of compromised figures caught between desire and repulsion.

The showcase featured the presentation of the "Smile Collection," inspired by curator MaryAnn Giella McCulloh’s first encounter with Michael Fredo's whimsical, magical clay sculptures which brought an immediate smile, inspiring the collection’s name. Michael describes The Moonlighters project as a collection of unique characters shaped and sculpted from his own imagination, while also emphasizing the storybook quality and personality driven universe in which they dwell.

ABOUT Michael Fredo:

Michael Fredo is an American singer-songwriter, sculptor and former model whose creative career has evolved from late-1990s pop success into a distinctive visual art practice centered on his whimsical clay figures known as “The Moonlighters.” After auditioning for music impresario Quincy Jones, Michael secured a contract with Warner Bros. Records. He rose to national attention with his debut

album, toured with Britney Spears and earned a Billboard Hot 100 hit with “This Time Around”. ACTRESS VIVIANE VENTURA

A Life Lived Across Continents, Cinema, and Culture

Photography, Hair & Makeup: Matthew Yeandle | @beautybymatt_

Jewelry: @dbrettBenson

Floral designs: @r.varitoaifd

Born in London shortly after the Second World War, Viviane Ventura immigrated to Colombia, South America, at just nine months old. Her father, Michael Abraham Ventura, was born in Durban, South Africa, to Sephardic parents of Spanish and Turkish heritage, while her mother, Barbara Burin, was raised in Derby, England. At seventeen, Barbara won the first beauty pageant ever held in England in 1939—only for the outbreak of World War II a week later to abruptly end the celebration.

Raised between continents, languages, and traditions, Viviane grew up speaking Spanish, English, and French, while being exposed to Jewish, Protestant, and Catholic influences alike. “It prepared me to be a citizen of the world,” she reflects. At twelve years old, she returned to London with her brother to complete her education, where, by sixteen, she had already decided her future belonged to the world of cinema.

Armed with ambition, resilience, and undeniable presence, opportunities arrived quickly. At seventeen, she landed her first Hollywood role in High Wind in Jamaica alongside Anthony Quinn, filmed on location in Jamaica for four months. Soon after, she was offered a seven-year contract with 20th Century Fox by legendary producer Darryl Zanuck and moved to Hollywood.

Though the glamour of premieres, studio contracts, and television appearances painted a dazzling exterior, Ventura quickly discovered the sacrifices the industry demanded. Unwilling to compromise herself, she left Hollywood after two years and returned to London, where her career flourished on her own terms. She went on to appear in more than twenty-seven films alongside icons such as Peter O'Toole, Warren Beatty, Roger Moore, Cliff Richard, The Beatles, and Tony Curtis.

palm beach ...

Her international career earned further acclaim when she received an Italian “Oscar” at the Sorrento Film Festival, presented by Alberto Sordi following her starring role in the Italian film Il Cornutto alongside Lando Buzzanca, filmed across France and Spain.

At just twenty-four, Ventura stepped away from acting, choosing instead to pursue love, family, and a different chapter of life. A devoted mother to her daughters, Jasmine and Sheherazade, and now a proud grandmother of five, she speaks of family with the same passion that once fueled her career.

Later in life, she found what she describes as her greatest love: her husband, Errol Wetanson. “My friend, my lover, my protector,” she recalls. Their twenty-two years together became, in her words, a period of “true happiness.” Even after his passing, his memory remains “always in my heart.”

Elegant, worldly, and fiercely independent, Viviane Ventura’s story is one of reinvention, courage, and unapologetic authenticity—a woman who moved effortlessly between cultures, continents, and cinematic eras while always remaining entirely herself.

What revelations or surprises will baseball fans find in your new Bosses book?

A: I think the thing that will really strike Yankees fans will be just how fundamental George was to guaranteeing the Yankees future in New York. When he and his partners bought the team in 1973, the Yankees had one foot out the door — bound either for New Jersey or New Orleans, which was building the Superdome and wanted a baseball team. The Mets were the clear No. 1 team in town and by a wide margin. George said they’d be winners in three years and by 1976 they were in the World Series.

George Steinbrenner was a larger than life figure who was instrumental in bringing the Yankees back to prominence. He redefined what the term Boss meant. He was feared, respected and in some cases beloved. Who was he?

A: All of the above, honestly. He had a sign on his desk that said “Lead, follow or get the hell out of the way” and he just always assumed he’d be the leader in any group he was in. From the start, he was the clear voice and face of the partnership that bought the team. The other 11 partners put up most of the $8.8 million that bought the team, George put up only $168,000 but he was the only choice to be managing general partner. Even before the newspapers discovered that it’d be easier to use “Boss” than “Steinbrenner” in headlines, Steinbrenner referred to himself as “the Boss.” That was who he was. That was who he always saw himself as.

NEW YORK POST SPORTSWRITER MIKE VACCARO

on the New York Yankees and his new book

Please talk about the Bronx Zoo and the love-hate triangle between Billy Martin, Reggie Jackson and George Steinbrenner. Has there ever been such other dysfunctional relationships in sports? What are your favorite stories/examples from your new book of this well-publicized/ volatile relationship?

A: There’s never been anything quite like it because all three men were stubborn, all three men were very good at their jobs and at various times all three men could barely stand the sight of each other. They wouldn’t just fight, they’d throw uppercuts on the back page of the tabloids. Again and again and again. George kept hiring Billy and kept firing him and Billy would go away and they would invariably miss each other because each had what the other wanted: George controlled who occupied the managers office; Billy brought the kind of fire and daily intensity George craved in a manger. He almost surely would have hired Billy a sixth time in 1990 if Billy hadn’t been killed in a car crash on Christmas. And when you had Reggie and all his ego-fueled dramas to the mix — and add the fact that he was maybe the most clutch big-game player of his generation — it was irresistible drama. Time and time and time again.

What new stories did you discover about Reggie?

A: As much as anything what I tried to do with the book was take familiar stories — the famous Reggie “straw that stirs the drink” quote, for example — and find details behind those stories that sort of illuminated them. A favorite of mine is the magazine story with the quote that appeared and sent Thurman into a tizzy. Fran Healy tried to calm Thurman down and say “maybe Reggie was misquoted.” And Thurman said “For five f***in’ pages?”

How do the Yankees of the 90’s with Jeter O’Neill, Mariano, Bernie, Posada and Joe Torre compare with those 1970’s Yankees? How does Hal Steinbrenner compare with his famous father? Where do Brian Cashman and Gene Michael fit in? Is Boone the right manager for the current team?

A: The 90s teams essentially worked in a bubble compared to the 70s teams. George was older and less inclined to incite. And because they were so talented whatever distractions they did have were sort of automatically dissolved. They were better but less fun. Hal is diametrically different than his father. The story he told me is this: “when the Yankees lose a tough game, I throw my shoe at the TV. When my father did that, he’d throw his shoe at the TV and then call the Post and the Daily News and say “I just threw my shoe at the TV” And there’d be three days of stories. It would never occur to Hal to do something like that. Stick is a seminal figure in the Steinbrenner story because he was in charge during George’s second suspension. He had zero inclination, as George had, to trade prospects for fading stars. He kept the stars. And that allowed the Yankees to ascend to extraordinary heights. Cashman learned at Stick’s knee. Though Yankee fans don’t hold him in the same esteem as Stick, the fact is he delivers 94, 95 wins a year. But they haven’t won a title since 2009. And Cashman bears the brunt of the fan’s ire for that. I think Boone is a good manager. I think if young George were in charge he’d have fired him by now … but he might also be on his third tenure as manager, the way George kept recycling Billy.

What are your thoughts on the current Yankees? Do they have championship mettle based on your observations? What do they need this year to get over the hump and beat the Dodgers? Can they fix the pen? Are Lagrange, Lombard, Spencer Jones, Elmer going to play a role? Is the Martian still an option? Volpe?

A: They won 94 games last year and that’s as many as anyone in the American League. A lot of talk this spring about running it all back as if that was a felony, when, again, it was 94 wins. That’s not a bad run back. Yes, I think they can win a title. I also know — and Yankees fans hate this word — that it’s mostly a crapshoot. The Dodgers are viewed as an unbeatable team but they should have lost the World Series three different times last year. It IS a crapshoot.

SHARON MAHN’S TOP 10 TIPS FOR FINDING

& VETTING THE BEST LAWYERS

Prioritize Specialization Over General Practice

Look for attorneys who focus deeply on your specific issue (e.g., whitecollar defense vs. general criminal law).

Evaluate Track Record, Not Just Reputation

Case outcomes, deal history, and courtroom experience matter more than branding.

Assess Firm Resources vs. Solo Attention

Larger firms offer resources; boutique firms often provide more personalized service.

Understand Fee Structures Clearly

Transparency in billing (hourly, contingency, flat fee) is essential to avoid surprises.

Confirm Licensing & Disciplinary History.

Always verify standing with the state bar and check for any red flags.

Look Beyond Online Reviews

Reviews can be misleading—verify through referrals and professional networks.

Gauge Communication Style Early

Responsiveness and clarity during the consultation phase often reflect future interactions.

Check Peer Recognition & Industry Rankings.

Honors like Super Lawyers, Chambers rankings, and peer reviews can signal credibility.

Ask About Strategy, Not Just Outcomes.

A strong lawyer should articulate a thoughtful, realistic approach—not just promises.

Trust Professional Matchmaking When Stakes Are High.

Legal recruiters and insiders often know which attorneys truly excel in niche areas.

Taps Epype to Supercharge Mobile Sharing for Streaming & Brands

Your Home TV and Epype Join Forces to Simplify Mobile Content Sharing and Boost Viewer Reach

our Home TV, the fast-growing OTT network known for accessible, family-friendly content, has announced a strategic partnership with Epype, a mobile-first digital engagement platform designed to simplify and amplify brand and content connectivity. The goal? To make mobile sharing as seamless as a tap—literally.

The collaboration gives Your Home TV’s content creators, brands, and marketers a powerful tool to instantly share their streaming programs, ecommerce links, offers, and contact information without the friction of traditional apps or multi-platform clutter.

“We’re introducing a streamlined solution that allows businesses to connect with customers and distribute content seamlessly,” said Sean Stockell, CEO of Your Home Digital. “That’s the genius behind Epype.”

One Tap to Share It All

Epype acts like a digital Swiss army knife— packaging images, offers, videos, social handles, and ecommerce links into one shareable mobile interface. For content creators and media partners on Your Home TV, that means their shows and promotions can now be shared instantly to audiences across the globe with a single tap—no apps, no downloads, just direct digital engagement.

This is a timely solution for brands and content distributors grappling with the fragmentation of digital platforms and the overhead of maintaining multiple engagement tools. By offering a centralized, no-code way to promote programs and offers across mobile, Epype removes complexity while maximizing reach.

“Businesses are overwhelmed by platform overload,” Stockell added. “With Epype, we’ve centralized the process and accelerated mobile sharing for everyone on our network.”

Big Reach, Low Friction

Since its 2022 launch, Your Home TV has carved out a growing niche in the OTT space with 1,100 programs, 112 million views, and global accessibility via mobile and Rokuconnected TVs. Featuring short-form content across 20+ genres—from cooking to sports— the network offers both viewers and creators a cost-effective way to produce and consume streaming entertainment.

Now, with Epype embedded into its sharing infrastructure, the platform is giving creators the distribution velocity they've needed all along.

“Epype will enable Your Home TV content creators, brands, and media partners to share programs and offers in under 30 seconds,” said Steve Eastland, CEO of Epype. “No app, no hassle—just real-time engagement.”

This move reflects a growing trend among streaming and content platforms: streamlined, app-free engagement. With audiences increasingly mobile and attentionfragmented, reducing the number of steps between discovery and action is more than convenience—it’s a competitive edge.

For marketers, sales teams, and media personalities like Xen Sams, the value is obvious.

“Epype’s intuitive, mobile-first tech stack allows us to connect across all digital touchpoints while maintaining authenticity, speed, and ROI,” said Sams, host of A Moment of Xen on iHeartMedia’s 710 WOR. “It’s a gamechanger.”

Together, Epype and Your Home TV are capitalizing on a media reality where mobile isn’t just a channel—it’s the channel. The ability to instantly share branded content, campaigns, and direct offers—without asking users to jump through hoops—is the kind of streamlined engagement that modern marketers crave.

As Epype CEO Steve Eastland puts it:

“We started by asking, what if businesses could share news, programs, or offers instantly with vast mobile audiences? With Epype, the answer is now clear—and the results are astounding.”

YOUR HOME DIGITAL

began by disrupting the home industry, now focuses on family-friendly program streaming worldwide

ean Stockell launched Your Home Digital in 2015, following a 32-year career in mortgage lending and community banking. He achieved significant success in banking and managed U.S. mortgage production offices in the Midwest and Southeast before a career pivot. Stockell has an entrepreneurial spirit and unique ability to navigate change.

The backstory: Stockell began developing technology for home consumers in 1994, before the Internet emerged as a driving force. His first product was called, LoanSource. It was a floppy disk system, which loaded onto a home PC and provided an easy-to-use guide through the mortgage process. Stockell described his first real-tech endeavor as an experience similar to using TurboTax, but it focused on the home financing industry instead. Stockell said, “it was powerful because it included an interface with a large regional bank, which just happened to be the first beta partner with Freddie Mac on the Loan Prospector automated underwriting system.

Stockell said, “LoanSource included a glossary of real estate terms, a quick guide to compare loan products side-by-side, closing cost estimates, payment calculator, forms to complete for employment and asset verification, the convenient ability to submit a loan application in minutes from a home computer, and receive an automated underwriting loan decision quickly.” He added, “this had never been done before. Our system was developed before the launch of Quicken, Ditech, LendingTree, or Rocket. LoanSource was revolutionary, but timing and partnership issues derailed the project. This was a significant learning experience for me, which led to understanding the importance of ownership control, and extreme caution in partner selection for the future.”

Your Home Digital introduced YourHome1Source.com to the U.S. market in October of 2015, as the nation’s first All-Things-Home website. This extensive home resource portal provides a myriad of home topics and products. It is FREE for site visitors with no registration requirements, no fees, no questions to answer, and no apps to download. YourHome1Source offers about 400 original articles, books and guides, photo galleries for home ideas, DIY resources, links to lenders, insurance providers, home movers, home security, warranty, inspection, home furnishings, and online store. It’s truly a one-stopshop. YourHome1Source expanded into video production and hosting in 2016, launching Your Home TV with more than 200 home product videos. Stockell said, “this was our gateway into global streaming.”

Your Home TV launched in 2022. It is a browser-based global streaming network available on Roku and easily accessed via mobile device worldwide. “It’s a fast-growing OTT platform because Your Home TV focuses on non-scripted original content, not re-run TV series or old movies.”, says Stockell. “Your Home TV is best described as the upstreaming network, because we serve brands, influencers, and upand-coming filmmakers. We’re quite different from the large brand CTV (connected TV) brands like Netflix, Paramount+, or Amazon Prime. Your Home TV features short-run programs, i.e., five to fifteen minutes and ideally serves today’s viewers on mobile devices.” Your Home TV has scaled by forming more than 50 alliances with media partners involved with content creation and distribution though the network.

Board Director, Miles Robinson, says, "I am excited about what founder, Sean Stockell and his passionate team of technology and media partners have created. Their collaboration of producers, influencers, and filmmakers is truly revolutionary in the streaming industry. Your Home TV provides audiences with genuine stories, experiences to cherish,

"Your Home TV is thriving because our network carries original and unique content. We're not limited to rerun content which most streaming networks carry, like redundant movies, documentaries, or television series reruns. Our network covers a multitude of topics and features emerging creative producers who are often overlooked or excluded by megastream outlets. Viewers find our shows about Real People, Real Stories, and Real Life to be compelling. They connect with and develop a relationship with

these stories. Binge watching of our programs is common. It's a wonderful experience, our producers and audience connecting. Your Home TV provides a low cost, high visibility gateway for leading brands to reach new audiences through streaming. Our global streaming network is affordable for brands, influencers, filmmakers, and advertisers to reach millions of viewers in the U.S. and abroad via Your Home TV." says, Sean Stockell, founder and executive producer of Your Home TV.

DENISE FRAILE A Catalyst for Philanthropy in Palm Beach

Entrepreneur, former Grand Prix equestrian, and community leader Denise Fraile is helping shape a new era of philanthropic leadership across Palm Beach County.

In Palm Beach County—where philanthropy is both a tradition and a defining cultural force—Denise Fraile has emerged as one of the community’s most dynamic and influential philanthropic leaders. Known for her ability to bring together civic leaders, business executives, and nonprofit organizations around meaningful causes, Fraile has become a respected catalyst within the region’s philanthropic landscape.

Graceful in presence yet formidable in purpose, Fraile represents a modern generation of civic leadership— one that blends vision, creativity, and a deeply personal commitment to strengthening the community. Over the years she has developed a reputation not only for supporting important causes, but for helping elevate them.

Those who work alongside her often remark on a defining quality: Fraile doesn’t simply participate in philanthropy—she creates momentum around it.

Fifteen Years of Impact

Over the past 15 years, Fraile has served on numerous nonprofit boards throughout Palm Beach County, playing a leadership role in many of the region’s most recognized charitable initiatives. Throughout her philanthropic career she has chaired and helped lead iconic Palm Beach County fundraising events, collectively helping to raise millions of dollars in support of organizations dedicated to strengthening families, empowering women, and protecting vulnerable members of the community.

Her leadership style is both collaborative and strategic, often bringing together individuals from different sectors of the community to create meaningful and lasting impact.

Among the organizations closest to her heart is Families First of Palm Beach County, one of the region’s most impactful nonprofits dedicated to protecting children and strengthening families in crisis.

Fraile currently serves on the organization’s board and plays a key role in its development initiatives. She also chairs the Families First Annual Luncheon, widely regarded as one of Palm Beach County’s most important philanthropic gatherings.

Under Fraile’s leadership, the luncheon has experienced remarkable growth. In just the past year, fundraising for the event has increased by more than 30 percent, reflecting both the growing prominence of the luncheon and the extraordinary generosity of the Palm Beach community. Each year the event brings together an inspiring cross-section of civic leaders, philanthropists, and community advocates who share a commitment to ensuring that families and children across Palm Beach County have the support systems they need to thrive.

Championing Women’s Leadership

Fraile’s philanthropic reach also extends statewide through her work with the Women’s Foundation of Florida, one of the state’s leading organizations dedicated to advancing opportunities for women and girls. She currently serves on the foundation’s board and chairs its Development Committee, helping guide fundraising strategy and philanthropic engagement in support of the foundation’s mission to empower women through leadership, advocacy, and economic opportunity. Her involvement reflects Fraile’s broader belief that strong communities are built when women are empowered to lead and shape the future.

A Global Perspective and Entrepreneurial Drive

Fraile’s path to philanthropy has been shaped by a uniquely international and accomplished background. Having grown up in several countries, she developed an early appreciation for different cultures, perspectives, and the importance of community.

She is also a former Grand Prix–level equestrian, competing at the highest levels of the sport—an experience that required extraordinary discipline, resilience, and focus. The competitive spirit and dedication that defined her years in the equestrian world would later carry into her professional and philanthropic endeavors.

An entrepreneur by nature, Fraile has built successful ventures through strategic vision and creative leadership. Today, she applies that same mindset to the nonprofit sector, helping organizations grow their reach, strengthen their fundraising capabilities, and expand their impact.

Her ability to translate the principles of entrepreneurship—innovation, collaboration, and long-term strategy—into philanthropy has made her a valued partner to many organizations throughout Palm Beach County.

Raising the Bar for 2026

Fraile is already looking ahead to what promises to be an exciting next chapter for the Families First Annual Luncheon, scheduled for November 6, 2026.

With the success of the previous year’s event setting a new benchmark, Fraile is planning to elevate the luncheon to an even greater level of impact. She is working closely with Jordan Goldman, CEO of Castle Group, a respected business leader and philanthropic partner within Palm Beach County, to help shape new ideas and initiatives for the upcoming event.

Fraile hints that this year’s event will represent a significant step forward.

“Our community has incredible capacity for generosity,” she says. “This year we’re aiming to take the luncheon to another level—creating an event that not only raises critical funding for Families First, but also inspires deeper engagement across the entire community.”

Accomplished and Creative

Beyond her philanthropic leadership, Fraile is also known for her entrepreneurial spirit and creative pursuits. An accomplished business leader and artist, she has built a reputation for blending creativity with strategy in everything she undertakes.

Her distinctive artistic work—particularly her large-scale, photorealistic drawings—has attracted attention for their striking detail and craftsmanship, reflecting a creative discipline that parallels her thoughtful approach to leadership and community engagement.

Whether through art, business, or philanthropy, Fraile approaches each endeavor with a shared philosophy: meaningful progress begins with vision and grows through collaboration.

Shaping the Future of Philanthropy

In a community celebrated for its generosity and civic engagement, Denise Fraile has become one of the individuals helping shape Palm Beach County’s evolving culture of giving. Through her leadership, partnerships, and unwavering commitment to community impact, she continues to inspire others to step forward and support the organizations that make Palm Beach County such a remarkable place to live.

And as anticipation builds for the November 6, 2026 Families First Annual Luncheon, it is clear that Fraile’s vision for the event—and for the community it serves—is only continuing to grow.

AMERICA’S FINANCIAL FIRST RESPONDERS (FEHSF)

dedicated to protecting the families of our fallen heroes.

Federal Enforcement Homeland Security Foundation (FEHSF), Richard S. Kendall, Founder and Chairman has been leading the effort for over 30 years.

The Federal Enforcement Homeland Security Foundation was not created for recognition. It was created for response and immediate impact.

In a Nation secured each day by men and women whose names are rarely known, the Foundation stands as a quiet but decisive force — the Financial First Responder for Federal Law Enforcement Agents/Officers and their families when tragedy strikes. Structured as a 501(c)(3) humanitarian, apolitical, directgiving organization, FEHSF occupies a singular space in American philanthropy: it exists to move quickly, discreetly, and meaningfully in moments when time is everything.

Closing the Gap Between Sacrifice and Support

Federal Agents operate in spaces most citizens will never see — confronting terrorism, organized crime, cyber threats, narcotics trafficking, and emerging national security threats. Their work is defined by unpredictability and risk. When tragedy occurs — when an Agent is killed or gravely injured in the line of duty, or when a family faces sudden medical or disaster-related crises — traditional systems are often slow, layered and procedural. FEHSF was built to close that gap. The Foundation’s mandate ensures Emergency Funds are received by suffering Families within 24 to 48 hours. There is no protracted approval process. No distant bureaucratic review. Only swift action, guided by dignity, urgency and respect. In the most vulnerable hours of a family’s life, the Foundation becomes a stabilizing force — ensuring mortgages are paid, medical bills are covered, children’s financial needs are met, and grief is not compounded by financial fear.

This speed is not incidental. It is structural. FEHSF was engineered for precision.

Since its inception, the Foundation has distributed millions of dollars in direct support to hundreds of Families across a wide range of Federal Law Enforcement Agencies including:

ATF, CBP, DEA, FBI, HSI, IRS, Secret Service, USMS and USPIS. FEHSF honors the sacrifices of fallen, wounded and suffering Agents not only with words but with tangible care and gravitas.

A Private–Public Partnership with National Weight

FEHSF’s credibility is reinforced by the stature of those who guide it. It represents a rare alignment of public service and private leadership — a Partnership between senior Federal Law Enforcement Officials and accomplished Leaders in business, medicine, law, technology and finance.

Serving as Honorary Chairman, Governor Tom Ridge brings historic gravity to the Mission. As the first U.S. Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, Governor Ridge understands firsthand the pressures and responsibilities borne by those protecting our beloved Nation. His presence signals both continuity and seriousness of purpose. Governor Ridge often refers to the service performed by those FEHSF supports as a Calling. The entire Family shares and bears the burdens and risks when danger is confronted. Ridge Awards presents its Lifetime Achievement and Patriot Awards to distinguished and philanthropic individuals in the Private Sector. Most importantly, Agents from the Agencies FEHSF supports who performed heroically and effectively in the Field are duly acknowledged.

Founder and Chairman, Richard S. Kendall established the Foundation with a clear vision: to create a permanent, reliable support system for Federal Agents/Officers in crises. Under his leadership, FEHSF has grown into a nationally respected and trusted institution defined by efficiency, discretion, response, trust and integrity. The Executive Leadership Team ensures that compassion is matched by discipline. Ariel K. Grossman, Chief Operating Officer, maintains operational agility. Executive Director, John B. Devito translates donor

commitment into immediate aid. Financial stewardship is led by Vice Chairman and Treasurer Dan Knopf, whose oversight safeguards transparency and fiscal strength. Medical oversight is provided by Dr. Jordan Josephson, ensuring that health-related assistance meets the highest professional standards. Vice Chairmen Josh Fox, Michal Grayevsky, and Min Kyriannis bring strength across nonprofit partnership, communications strategy, and national security technology.

The Board of Directors reflects a similarly distinguished blend of influence and commitment, including financier and communicator Anthony Scaramucci; legal advocate Marie Napoli; physician and wellness author Nicholas Perricone; and attorney and civic leader, Sharon Mahn. Their collective oversight ensures that the Foundation’s growth never eclipses its core purpose: direct support to those in need. This is philanthropy governed not by abstraction, but by accountability

Where Philanthropy and National Security Intersect

Beyond Emergency Grants and a multitude of FEHSF Sponsored Events, The Foundation has cultivated another signature forum: its recurring National Security Briefings. These convenings are deliberately structured to bridge a gap that too often remains abstract — the distance between Federal Law Enforcement Leadership and civilian business executives whose industries are increasingly shaped by geopolitical volatility, cyber threats and regulatory risk. In private settings that encourage candor over ceremony, senior officials and corporate leaders engage in substantive dialogue about real-time challenges confronting the Nation. Discussions range from evolving counterterrorism priorities to cyber intrusion trends, supply chain vulnerabilities, financial crimes, and the broader economic implications of global instability.

The objective is neither spectacle nor partisan commentary. It is alignment.

For business leaders, the Briefings offer rare, high level intelligence and informed perspectives from those operating on the front lines of National Security. For Law Enforcement professionals, they provide insights into how emerging threats reverberate across markets, infrastructure, and innovation ecosystems. The result is a more integrated understanding of how public safety and private enterprise intersect — and how the Missions of both communities, though distinct, increasingly overlap.

In an era when National Security risk can migrate from a distant conflict zone to a corporate balance sheet in a matter of hours, these Forums serve as both an educational platform and strategic bridge. They reflect a broader truth embedded in the Foundation’s work: safeguarding the Nation is no longer the sole province of Government. It is a shared responsibility, requiring informed Partnership between those who enforce the law and those who power the economy.

The Schneiderman Cup: Legacy in Action

Among the Foundation’s signature Events is the

Annual Golf Outing now known as The Schneiderman Cup, held at Alpine Country Club. What began as a philanthropic initiative established by the late Fred Schneiderman — a former FEHSF Board Member and devoted supporter — has evolved into a gathering defined as much by purpose as by tradition.

Senior Business Executives, corporate leaders and Law Enforcement professionals convene not merely for sport, but in quiet affirmation of a shared commitment: to ensure that the families of those who protect the Homeland are never left unsupported.

The Value of Being There First

The value added by FEHSF is not abstract. It is measured in immediacy. It is the difference between waiting and relief. Between uncertainty and stability. Between isolation and solidarity. In the upper tiers of philanthropy — where global finance, civic responsibility, and influence converge — few organizations operate with such clarity of purpose. FEHSF does not compete for attention. It competes against time and urgent Family needs.

America’s Federal Agents form a discreet circle of protectors. They move quietly, often anonymously, into harm’s way. The Federal Enforcement Homeland Security Foundation

stands quietly behind them — ensuring that when sacrifice meets hardship, response is swift, dignified, and certain.

But this Mission endures only through Partnership.

Supporting FEHSF is more than a charitable contribution; it is a tangible affirmation that the Nation stands behind those who stand in its defense. By donating funds, attending Ridge Awards Annual Gala, participating in The Schneiderman Cup, National Security Briefings or other Foundation Sponsored Events, supporters help sustain a rapid-response lifeline for the Federal Law Enforcement Community in crisis. FEHSF is in the process of developing its Emerging Leaders Council for next Generation Leaders to ensure the Foundation’s Legacy. An Education Fund is being established to ensure that children left behind based on a Line of Duty death are protected financially regarding their College Education.

To learn more and become engaged with FEHSF Mission as a supporter/donor, please visit https://www.fehsf.org (https://www.fehsf. org/).

When the next call comes — and it inevitably will — the strength of that response will depend on those willing to stand behind it. FEHSF Mantra: “They Have Our Backs. We Have Theirs”.

Kentucky Derby

The Kentucky Derby & F-1 Race

There are few moments in sports like the last 30 seconds of a horse race when the horses are flying to the finish line. On Saturday, I was standing in Churchill Downs, right on the dirt, with the finish line just a few yards to my right, as Golden Tempo, with jockey Jose Ortiz, passed Renegade, with his brother Iraad Ortiz as a jockey and won the Kentucky Derby by a nose. And at that moment Cherie DeVaux became the first female trainer, in the 152 years of the Derby, to win! As Golden Tempo charged to the finish the screams from the 150,000 was deafening. It was super cool to be just a few feet from the mad dash to the line as I could feel the ground shaking as the 19 horses passed.

At 6:00 AM on Sunday I left Louisville to fly to Miami for the F-1 Race.

TRIBECA’S MIDNIGHT PARADE:

CHUCK CONNELLY’S ART RUNS WILD AT ONE ART SPACE

Exhibition invites guests into Chuck Connelly’s imaginative vision of Tribeca, where neighbors, artists and passersby become a bustling urban menagerie

One Art Space in Tribeca will present “Chuck Connelly: Tribeca’s Midnight Parade — When Art Runs Wild” Co-Curated by Adrienne Connelly and MaryAnn Giella McCulloh. This special exhibition honors the late artist Chuck Connelly through a body of work that reflects the energy, individuality and creative spirit of downtown New York. The exhibition opens with a private VIP reception followed by the public exhibition on view from Friday, April 24th through Sunday, May 3rd, 2026, daily from 12:00pm to 6:00pm, at One Art Space, 23 Warren Street, Tribeca.

At the heart of the exhibition is “Animals in the Street,” a 1994 painting created during a period when Chuck Connelly was living and working from his loft studio on Franklin Street in Tribeca. The work transforms everyday neighborhood life into something theatrical, charged and unforgettable. In Connelly’s vision, the people moving along the street take on animal identities, each one carrying a distinct personality and rhythm. Friends and neighbors emerge from the crowd in altered form, while one commanding figure, a judge, becomes a fierce lion in a trench coat on his way toward Chambers Street. The artist himself appears as a horse, standing softly to the side in bohemian dress, quietly observing the rush around him.

Rich with movement, wit and urban tension, the painting captures the fast pace of New York life while also preserving the character of a neighborhood that once felt freer, more intimate and deeply rooted in its artistic community. “Animals in the Street” serves as both a vivid snapshot of Tribeca in an earlier era and a reflection of Chuck Connelly’s singular ability to blend figuration, symbolism and emotion into scenes that feel at once surreal and unmistakably real. His art has attracted a celebrity following appreciative of his craft including Martin Scorsese and Nick Nolte among others.

This exhibition offers audiences an opportunity to experience Chuck Connelly’s museum-caliber work in the very neighborhood that helped inspire it. Presented at One Art Space, led by co-owner and gallerist MaryAnn Giella McCulloh and Mei Fung is a gallery known for

championing dynamic and culturally resonant programming in downtown Manhattan, the show underscores the lasting power of Connelly’s vision as previously shown in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Brooklyn Museum and the continuing relevance of his art to the story of New York.

The gallery’s programming mixes storied figures in New York's art scene, most recently Al Diaz, world-famous street artists like Shepard Fairey, abstract contemporary painters like Andrew Salgado, and a solo exhibition of work by Purvis Young.
