MEETING OF JANUARY 3, 1955 THE BOARD OF EDUCATION CF THE CITY OF OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA MET IN REGULAR MONTHLY
SESSION IN THE BOARD ROOM, IRVING AUDITORIUM, JANUARY 3, 1955 AT 4:30 P. M. O’CLOCK.

Lybrand, Attorney; Mr. Millard Prigmore and Mr. David Light, Auditors; L. V. Ballard, R. Ben Brown, Bill Foutz i. Lonnie Gilliland, Howard Brown, C. E. The President introduced the following visitors: Mr. L. D. Melton and Miss Linda Melton, husband and daughter of Nellie R. Melton; Mrs. J. Chester Swanson; and Mr. Glenn Bowman, representing the Classroom Teachers.
Visitors
On motion of Mrs. Melton, seconded by Mr. Thompson, the minutes of the meetings of December R, #1 Minutes 6, 1954 and December 28, 1954 were approved as read. Approved
LEGAL AND FINANCIAL REPORTS
On motion of Mr. McCray, seconded by Mr. Wright, the report of the School District er was received and ordered filed. Mr. Prigmore, Auditor, reported that he has set up appropriations for new building projects , transfer of funds as needed, and that he is preparing the semi-annual financial report which will be presented at the first meeting of the Board in February. His report was approved on motion of Mrs. Melton, seconded by Mr, McCray.

Mr. Lybrand, Attorney, suggested that the Board meet again on January 12th, the day after j R. #4 Attorney’s the Bond Election, for a report of the election and for the purpose of ordering sale of Report Approx bonds on January 24th. He also reported that the former owners of the old Prairie Queen site are trying to maintain that it should be reverted to them since it is no longer needed for school purposes. . i Whereupon, it was moved by Mr. McCray and seconded by Mrs. Melton that the Attorney clear | up the matter of ownership of the Prairie Queen site so that it may be sold. Motion carried
