THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF THE CITY OF OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA, MET IN REGULAR MONTHLY SESSION IN THE BOARD ROOM, ADMINISTRATION BUILDING,
MONDAY, JANUARY 7, 1929, AT SEVEN-THIRTY O’CLOCK P.M.

The minutes of the meeting of December 3r(i were read and approved as read. Mr. 0. W. Harper came before the Board and requested that the Board of Education, as owner of the Edgemere School property, join in a petition to pave Walker Avenue from 32nd Street to Street. It was moved by Mr. Williams and seconded by Mr. Hoge that the President and Clerk of the Board be authorized to sign the petition and upon roll call the motion carried unanimously.

Mr. Layton, of Layton, Hicks and Forsyth, Architects, came before the Board requesting that action be taken to provide sewer service for Capitol Hill High School. Attention of the Board was also called to the advisability of installing the students’ lockers in the Capitol Hill High School building at an early date. Upon motion of Mr. Hoge, seconded by Mr. Williams, the Clerk-Business Manager was instructed to advertise for bids on lockers and also on the sewer for Capitol Hill High School in accordance with plans and specifications prepared by the architects.

The Superintendent recommended that the following resignations be accepted effective at the end of the semester, January 25th:

Upon motion of Mr. McCall, seconded by Mr. Williams, the resignations were accepted as recommended. Concurring in the recommendation of the Superintendent, it was moved by Mr. McCall and seconded by. Mr. Williams that leaves of absence be granted for the remainder of the year I92S-I929 to the following teachers:
