The minutes of the meetings of April 6, 8, 9, 12, 13, 15, 18, 21, 23, 25 and 28, were read and approved as read. A request was received from Leonard Gilson, Custodian of Hawthorne School, that the two weeks annual yacation allowed under the rules of the Bdard be cancelled for 1937”3& and that he be allowed four weeks in 193^“39 * Upon motion of Mr. Spivey, seconded by Mr. Knight this request was referred to the Buildings and Grounds Committee for recommendation.

Request for Vacatla Change to Bldgs. Sc Grounds Committee

A request was received from the Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds for permission to use the month of June as the vacation month for the Buildings and Grounds Department, and also, if money is available, to permit arrangements to be made for necessary repairs to roofs and other outside work during the summer months. It was moved by Mr. Price and seconded by Mr. Fezler that the vacation period for the Buildings and Grounds Department, as recommended by Mr. Schlosser, be approved and that the matter of availibility of funds- be referred to the Auditor for report back to the Board. Motion carried.

Dear Mr. Stearley: Please permit me to suggest the following transfers of employees in the Buildings and Grounds Department:

1. That Mr. R. J. Potter, custodian at Jefferson School, be transferred to Jackson Jr. High School as custodian, at a salary of $150.00 permonth, effective May 1, 193^2. That Mr. P. L. Mertz, fireman at Taft Jr. High School, be transferred to Jefferson School as custodian, at a salary of $130.00 per month, effective May 1, 193&, to fill the vacancy caused by the transfer of Mr. Potter.

3. That Mr. Carl Swearlnger, floorman at Taft Jr. High School, be given the firing job at Taft, at a salary of $105.00 per month, effective May 1, 193^, to fill the vacancy caused by the transfer of Mr. Mertz. That Mr. L. H. Wilson be employed as a floorman at Taft Jr. High School, at a salary of $95 00 * per month, to fill the vacancy caused by the transfer of Mr. Swearlnger. Respectfully submitted,
