T I P : Hydraulic or mechanical?
The Hydraulic Arm gives you the benefit of achieving a high locking force even when the handwheel is tightened only gently, whereas the Mechanical Arm requires significantly greater manual force to tighten the joints.
On the other hand, the Mechanical Fixture requires less maintenance and can be used regardless of the ambient temperature, while the Hydraulic Clamp cannot support extreme temperature changes.

Pipe Spiders
Our Pipe spiders are used as mechanical positioning tool for the centering of Gamma Radiography sources inside pipes. Our product range includes various models for the most common projector systems. The base unit is equipped without a source guiding tube and without connections. Matching equipment is also needed, which is pushed through the inner tube and clamped in place.
The Pipe spiders with an internal dimension of Ø15.5 mm are designed for the use with devices from Exertus, Gammamat and Teletron and can be operated together with appropriate long Source terminals or alternatively with Extension tubes (to connect source tips). Those Pipe spiders with an internal dimension of Ø19 mm are ideal for allowing complete Guide tubes with source stop to pass through, e.g. the originals from Sentinel

1987
Founding of the ‘Gesellschaft für Mess-, Prüf- und Übermittlungsgeräte mbH’ in Heiligenhaus (NRW) by Karlheinz Henn (1947-2007).
1988
Renaming of the company to ‘METRITEC Gesellschaft für Mess, Prüf-, Übermittlungsgeräte mbH’.
2000
Relocation of the company to Husby near Flensburg (S-H) with new construction of a ‘customised’ modern production and sales facility.
2007
Shortly before the 60th birthday and the 20th company anniversary of METRITEC GmbH, the company founder and managing director Karlheinz Henn passes away, interim management by his son Marcus Henn, graduate interior designer from Hilden (NRW).
2008
The long-time employee of METRITEC GmbH, Mrs Dipl. oec.troph. Ruth Andersen, born 1967, takes over the management of the company.
