Welcome to Omaha Fashion Week 2009, After its glamorous debut in 2008, Omaha Fashion Week is back! This year promises to be even bigger and better, showcasing the talent of 25 eclectic designers with the help of over 40 hair stylists and makeup artists, 200 models and volunteers and an expectant crowd of over 3,000. Omaha Fashion Week will be an exciting week-long opportunity for industry insiders, fashion lovers and creative talent to meet, network and most importantly, inspire one another. As a spectator, designer, sponsor or student, let Omaha Fashion Week show you how fashion is the latest booming artistic discipline in the Heartland.

Omaha is the 16th formal fashion week in the US, following cities such as Seattle, Portland, Denver and Austin. As the largest, most premium fashion event within a six-hour driving radius we think that you will be surprised and delighted with the talent inside your wonderful city.

Omaha Fashion Week sets itself apart from other cities’ fashion weeks by not only recognizing great local design (with no participation cost for the designers) but also by recognizing influential businesses that inspire local fashion. Staying true to our city’s giving spirit, Omaha Fashion Week is hosting a silent auction to benefit the American Heart Association and Girls Inc. and will donate a portion of the proceeds from the runway finale to both organizations. WOWT Channel 6 will also be airing a 30 minute Omaha Buzz post-show special.

Omaha is home to a wonderful creative community that is overflowing with talent. Omaha Fashion Week provides not just a venue to showcase some of this talent, but also a platform for the Omaha community to come together, be inspirational, inspiring and to have lots of fun. Last year many people were blown away by the amount of seemingly hidden local design talent, so we look forward to having even more of you join us for a week of fashion, glamour, live music and parties.

Bid and register to win celebrity-donated fashion items in our silent auction and raffle to support these great causes. Runway show featuring local designers. Suggested donation for charities. saturday, september 19th, finale runway show, 6pm The night of all nights. Last year, over 2000 people saw the best runway show in the Midwest. This is a do-not-miss event! A full night of glamour, live music & outdoor excitement. Doors open at 6pm. Show at 8pm.
