FEES AND FUNDS At Methodist College Belfast we offer your child(ren) life changing opportunities both in the classroom and beyond. We foster excellence and ambition within a diverse, inclusive and nurturing environment, ensuring each child has the opportunity to be all that they can.

We are able to offer all these life changing opportunities thanks to the dedication of our staff, the enthusiasm of our pupils and the financial support that we receive from our Collegian families. We also recognise the increasing financial pressures facing households and schools alike, including rising energy and transport costs. With the Department of Education funding under significant strain, core budgets do not fully cover the breadth of provision that we offer.

Fees As a Category A Voluntary Grammar School, Methodist College is permitted under statute to charge a Capital Fee of £140 per pupil. This contribution supports capital development across the College, including the recent refurbishments of School House and McArthur Hall and the current renovation and extension of the canteen. College Fund To sustain a high-quality programme of both extra-curricular and curricular activities, and to offer unparalleled opportunities across music, sport, arts, drama, academia and trips, we invite parents who are able to contribute £590 per year, per child to the College Fund.

Many families make a single annual contribution; others prefer a monthly Direct Debit. If £590 is not manageable, any amount you can contribute makes a difference.
Contributions to the College Fund directly support provision at no additional cost to families, including:

Transport to sport activities and fixtures Equipment and materials for clubs and societies Resources for music, arts and drama Supervision and coaching for training, rehearsals, practices and competitions Subsidy of costs so that all pupils can take part, regardless of financial circumstances.

Your support is crucial in helping us to maintain and extend the breadth of opportunities that benefit your child(ren) and many others, and helps us to avoid introducing per-activity charges.
