JOB DESCRIPTION RESPONSIBLE TO: DIRECTOR OF RUGBY MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES WITH DIRECTION AND GUIDANCE FROM DIRECTOR OF RUGBY • Lead the capture, coding and analysis of rugby matches and selected training sessions across the school rugby programme, with Senior Rugby as the priority.

• Provide the Director of Rugby, Assistant Director of Rugby and coaching staff with clear, relevant performance information to support coaching, preparation and player development.

• Produce individual player data and agreed performance metrics within the Senior Rugby squad, identifying key strengths, trends and areas for development.

• Prepare individual video and performance reviews for selected players, including PTS and NTS players where appropriate.

• Undertake opposition analysis for priority fixtures, particularly Cup matches, and produce clear analysis packages for the Director of Rugby, Assistant Director of Rugby and coaching staff.

• Support pre-match, post-match and, where appropriate, live match analysis for Senior Rugby.

• Senior Rugby match analysis must be completed following fixtures and returned in sufficient time for First XV video review and analysis sessions on Monday. This will require weekend analysis and preparation, including Sunday work where necessary.

• Develop towards delivering video analysis and performance review sessions directly to teams and individual players.

• Manage and organise rugby video footage, coding, analysis files and player performance information using Hudl, Hudl Focus, Sportscode, Veo, camera systems and other appropriate analysis technology.

• Work closely with the Director of Rugby, Assistant Director of Rugby and relevant coaches to agree analysis priorities, key performance indicators and areas of focus.

• Provide appropriate analysis support across Medallion and Junior Rugby, whilst recognising Senior Rugby as the primary area of responsibility.

• Lead and contribute to Junior Rugby coaching and player development as required, including responsibility for a junior rugby team.

• Ensure analysis equipment, cameras and associated technology are appropriately prepared, maintained and available for training and match-day requirements.

• The role may require work outside normal working hours, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

• Working schedules may also change at short notice due to the dynamic nature of the environment.

HOURS Approx. Annual Paid Hours: 1,070 (including paid holiday) • Work schedules throughout the year will vary in line with school term dates, holiday periods, and the demands of the school environment.

PERSON SPECIFICATION ESSENTIAL CRITERIA 1. Experience using rugby performance analysis and video analysis systems, including Hudl, Sportscode or equivalent platforms.

2. A strong understanding of Rugby Union and the ability to interpret match and training footage in a way that supports coaches and player development.

3. Ability to lead a junior rugby team and take responsibility for its coaching and player development.

4. Ability to deliver girls’ rugby coaching sessions.

5. Ability to analyse and communicate individual and team performance information clearly to coaches and players.

6. Strong organisational skills, including the ability to manage video footage, analysis files, player data and equipment.

7. Available to work late afternoons, evenings and Saturday fixtures as required.

8. Available to undertake weekend analysis and preparation as required to ensure Senior Rugby match analysis is completed and ready for Monday review.

9. Ability to work effectively within a school environment and contribute positively to the wider rugby programme.

10. Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.

Appointment to this position is subject to the successful candidate undertaking a criminal records check through Access NI and to this check being clear of any offences which might affect appointment to this post. The College’s decision on what is acceptable arising from this check is final. The cost of this check is £32.00 and the successful candidate will be required to pay the school for this service.
