Fischer and White Re-elected

In Tuesday’s election in the Village of Head of the Harbor for two village trustee positions and the position of village justice, all three incumbents were re-elected. In the latter race, John J. Toomey ran without opposition to securing a four-year term.

The race for board trustees, however, saw a challenge to incumbents Jeffrey Fischer and Deputy Mayor Daniel White from opponent Lisa Davidson.

Davidson represented the first major challenge to an incumbent trustee in 10 years. In 2021, for instance, Fischer and White ran unopposed. A cornerstone of her campaign was opposition to a proposed dock that would have been constructed in Cordwood Park.

• Jeffrey Fischer 186

• Daniel White 164

• Lisa Davidson 141

“Jeff and I are pleased that the voters of Head of the Harbor have chosen to have us continue to serve as their Trustees and that Justice Toomey was overwhelmingly re-elected to continue his able service as Village Justice,” White stated. “By turning out in large, if not unprecedented numbers, the voters of the Village have shown clearly that local government - and its management of operations and delivery of services directly affecting them — matters.”
