The proposed conveyance will allow the First Baptist Church of Bay Shore to demolish existing structures on the Excess Real Property at no cost to the County. The proposed law also requires the First Baptist Church of Bay Shore to maintain the Excess Real Property as passive open space with all development rights removed. The proposed law will provide greater protection to the Excess Real Property, which is located in an environmentally sensitive area, and ensure preservation of its natural, environmental, and scenic value.
