WHY CHOOSE

HERE, WE’VE FOUND A COMMUNITY WHERE OUR CHILDREN CAN FLOURISH

Although we initially moved to Webster City for work, it quickly became clear that this town was the perfect place to raise our family. From the moment we arrived, we were embraced by the genuine smalltown warmth, friendly neighbors, and a community that truly cares. Webster City offers the rare combination of a close-knit, welcoming atmosphere alongside bigtown amenities that make family life both convenient and enriching. For families, Webster City is a dream come true. Our kiddos love spending summer days at the outdoor municipal pool and splash pad, where they can cool off and play safely. The Fuller Hall Recreation Center provides year-round indoor activities that keep them active no matter the season. We often explore the many parks, playgrounds, picnic areas, and scenic trails. The nearby Boone River Water Trail invites us on many adventures, creating unforgettable family memories outdoors. Beyond recreation, Webster City supports families with excellent schools, affordable housing, and accessible healthcare, giving us peace of mind about our children’s education and well-being. The town’s low crime rate and strong sense of safety make it a secure environment where our family can grow and thrive. If you want to raise your family in a place that blends the warmth and connection of a small town with the opportunities and conveniences of a larger city, Webster City is the ideal choice. Here, we’ve found a community where our children can flourish.

IN HAMILTON COUNTY WE FOUND THE THINGS THAT WERE IMPORTANT TO US WHEN WE STARTED SEARCHING FOR THE PERFECT HOME BASE

Hamilton County is not what people think of when they think of rural Iowa – an endless sea of corn and bean fields. While it still has a robust farming and livestock industry, this county has a little bit of everything to offer. In Hamilton County we found the things that were important to us when we started searching for the perfect home base: a solid home that met our needs, some land for my family to enjoy, diverse restaurants, ample entertainment, and the ability to work from home if needed. Oh, by the way, I have met some of the nicest people and made fast friends. I have always had a small commute wherever I worked, but this is the coolest. Between Webster City and Stratford there are river valleys and wildlife, you see something pretty awesome every day! TODD VAN EPPS GENERAL MANAGER STRATFORD MUTUAL TELEPHONE

STAY CONNECTED TO WHAT MATTERS In Hamilton County, connection means more than internet speeds or road access—it means being part of a community that works together. Whether it's fast Wi-Fi, dependable healthcare, or a helping neighbor, you’ll find reliability, security, and support every step of the way.

OWNING A BUSINESS IN A PLACE THAT VALUES COMMUNITY, CONNECTION, AND OPPORTUNITY IS IMPORTANT.

The roots of Seneca Foundry run deep in Webster City, Iowa—over a century deep, in fact. After being proudly owned and operated by the McCollough family for four generations, I had an opportunity to purchase the company and continue its legacy. It was a major decision, but the choice to keep Seneca Foundry right here in Webster City was an easy one. This community has always been the foundation of the company’s success. The strength of those local ties—along with the outstanding support Webster City provides—made it clear this was the right place to grow the business. From excellent parks and trails to the school system and community programs, Webster City supports a high quality of life that benefits not just our business, but the families who work here. Owning a business in a place that values community, connection, and opportunity is important. Webster City continues to be a place where businesses can thrive, and people can feel at home. Casting our Story... The story of Seneca Foundry reaches back more than 100-years. Early products manufactured include several styles of feeding troughs for hogs, cattle, and poultry; drinking pans for stock fountains; and even an early version of hospital bed frames. Today we bring iron to life for many people and a vast variety of industries. Some products you may recognize today are cast iron components on weight lifting benches in top collegiate weight rooms across the U.S., brackets for basketball hoops, and cast iron components used to manufacture fifth wheel hitches and slideouts on RV’s.

Although much has changed over 100-years, we hold true to our core values of putting the customer first with dedicated, committed service; doing the right thing; team building; continuous improvement; and treating everyone with fairness and respect.

We are a proud member and supporter of our community, and always looking for new team members! As a recipient of the Des Moines Register’s Top Work Places, we offer competitive wages and a generous benefit package. Call 515-832-1722 or check out our website to learn more.
