NEW FOODS ARRIVE FOR THE 2025 CLAY COUNTY FAIR

Get ready to eat your way through the 2025 Clay County Fair powered by SMU! From September 6–14, fairgoers can dive into an array of mouth-watering new foods, including the six finalists vying for the coveted title of “The World’s Greatest County Fair Food” in our ninth annual contest, sponsored by Farmers Savings Bank.

The delicious showdown happens Sunday, September 7, at 11:00 a.m. on the Farmers Savings Bank Stage inside the Creative Living Center. Local celebrity judges will sample each creation and crown one vendor the ultimate champion. Come cheer on your favorite and discover your next fair-food obsession!

Bison Cheesesteak Crunch (Fischer’s Sleepy Bison Grill, LLC)

A bold twist on the classic cheesesteak! This sandwich features grilled bison steak on a hoagie bun, layered with American cheese, crunchy chili cheese Fritos, and a drizzle of creamy queso. It’s savory, satisfying, and full of crunch in every bite.

The Dazzle Churro Sundae (Mami Churros & Creamery)

A handcrafted churro, lovingly shaped into a stunning halo, fried to golden perfection—crispy on the outside, soft and pillowy inside. Coated in warm cinnamon sugar, drizzled with velvety vanilla glaze, and sprinkled with a burst of colorful sprinkles, this beauty is paired with our creamy, dreamy soft-serve ice cream. These wok-fired soba noodles bring Hawaiian-inspired flavor to the Fair! Stir-fried with a variety of fresh vegetables and tossed in a secret sauce, this flavorful dish is vegan by default, with the option to add teriyaki chicken. It's made hot and fresh in the wok right before your eyes.

Nashville Hot Chicken and Waffle Sandwich (Wandering Waffles)

It’s the best of both worlds—sweet, spicy, and made to wander! This sandwich starts with our signature Norwegian-style Wandering Waffle, filled with crispy homestyle chicken drenched in authentic Nashville hot sauce.
