The precursor of natural care

Son of a herbalist and herbalist himself, Maurice Mességué established as early as the 50s treatment protocols based on medicinal plants (herbal teas, poultices, hand and foot baths) combined with medical advice. This method was against the ideologies of his era, when allopathic medicine had all power but still was incapable to cure certain illnesses.

By priorising to restore the body balance rather than simply relieve symptoms, Maurice Mességué became the precursor of today's methods of natural care.

Maurice Mességué has always been an advocate for nature, as spotlighted in his emblematic book "C'est la Nature qui a raison" (Nature is right) published in 1952! In the 70s, he, who "feels things things but couldn't prove them" took advantage of his fame to warn of the environmental consequences from mass consumption.

He gave a series of conferences, lectures and became a media darling. He created the MRL (Maximum Residue Limits) to control and limit the use of pesticides in the plants he marketed.

His fight against intensive livestock farming and the need to green cities are all forward-looking visions that have helped to raise awareness of the need to preserve biodiversity and protect our environment.

His leitmotiv: "Nature is right" suggests that we can find the best in the nature, but it's also important to preserve it.
