Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour 2013 (in English) The Banff Mountain Film Festival in the Canadian Rocky Mountains is the prime example of films about nature and the outdoors. The best films from the festival can be seen again at the OutDoor within the framework of the World Tour. There is big wall climbing with handicaps, climbing sports in France, freeriding in Switzerland, time-lapse scenes of the Rocky Mountains, undiscovered ravines in the Grand Canyon and some ice-cold surfing fun all there to thrill you at the OutDoor Movie Nights.

North of the Sun (in English) This award-winning documentary by Jørn Nyseth Ranum and Inge Wegge packs some icy surfing adventures together with the problems of global waste into an entertaining film. The two surfers spent long months in a remote Arctic bay cleaning up the rubbish which had been washed ashore.

Whenever the hard work allowed, the two guys made the most of the chance to surf on some of the cold water waves. With its wonderful pictures, North of the Sun shows that it is possible to meet our responsibilities to nature and still keep a sense of humour. And, of course, a surfboard!

Such renowned brands as Wavecrest, Mega-Sports-Robson, Blue + White, Kober + Moll and Prijon will be exhibiting at a large joint stand in the Foyer West/passage hall A1 and – besides new products – will also be providing the opportunity for visitors to test the boats on the trade-fair‘s lake at the Entrance West.
