Once a year, the outdoor community convenes under one roof.

It comes together at the OutDoor in Friedrichshafen – the point where the individualists’ trails, the mainstream’s routes and the specialists’ super tours converge. Be part of it when the branch gets together to decide where it is going. And experience for yourself what moves the market outside.

On an exhibition area of 85,000 sqm, more than 850 exhibitors from 39 nations present all the relevant brands and a comprehensive range of services unknown anywhere else in the world. This year’s main theme – Business Turbo “Fundamental Needs” – demonstrates how the branch can benefit even further from the boom in outdoor pursuits. High-tech and design trends are presented by the OutDoor INDUSTRY AWARD, which is being held for the fifth time.

The OutDoor Conferences offer interaction, further training, news and trends even before the trade fair begins (8:30 a.m.).

Clothing and equipment for outside adventures

The OutDoor displays all the trends and innovations for the world’s biggest market – the great outdoors! Clothing, footwear, equipment, services and the right inspiration: it is all here, everything you need for outside adventures great and small.

However, outside adventures are to be had both in the great outdoors as well as in the town. Brands are increasingly focusing on so-called “urban style”, opening up interesting cross-over solutions for the textiles trade.

The OutDoor 2010 is taking advantage of this trend to present the Sunday at the trade fair according to the “urban style” topic. Trend and industry lectures on the topic, an urban lounge and an “urban style” info show provide the perfect setting for presenting this outdoor topic to the textiles trade.

Successful partnerships, long-term friendships and trusting business relationships: at the OutDoor, a handshake is more than just a handshake. It is always fascinating to see how informal things are at the world’s largest outdoor trade fair and how relaxed professional business can be conducted.

Business Turbo “Fundamental Needs“ The prospects could hardly be better: even more outdoor turnover thanks to even more outdoor pursuits – the market analysis for the next few years can be reduced to this common denominator. Urbanisation, technology overload and a desire to return to basic values mean that we yearn more and more for the countryside, for outside experi­en­­ces.

Trail Running Course For the fourth time, Gore is the official partner for the Trendsport Initiative Trail Running. This race to find “Europe’s Fastest Trail Runner” was a huge success in recent years, and is set to delight spec­tators and participants alike again in 2010.
