On Sunday afternoon a group of the Manx Synod members with an ecumenical observer met together at the Presbytery at St. Mary’s in Douglas to watch the live stream of the Mass from the Cathedral as they were unable to travel over to it. Afterwards tea, coffee and cakes were shared.

On Wednesday 9 June Canon Brendan Alger celebrated the diamond jubilee of his ordination to the priesthood. A Mass of Thanksgiving for his 60th anniversary was celebrated at St Mary of the Isle, Douglas, the following Sunday, 13 June. Canon Brendan (seated) was joined for the Mass by Father John Hindley, Monsignor John Devine and Father Brian Dougherty.
