LETTER FROM THE HEAD OF SCHOOL It is with great pleasure and a deep sense of accomplishment that I present to you our school's Annual Report for the year 2022-23. As we reflect on the past year, I am excited to share our progress and highlight the collective efforts that have shaped our community. As I am heard saying almost every day, “Merion Mercy Academy is a great school!” And, our school thrives due to the incredible and active involvement of our wonderful community—students, faculty and staff, parents, alumnae, trustees, and friends. This report is a testament to the remarkable results that can be achieved when we work together toward a shared vision. It is our hope that it inspires a sense of pride and unity among all those who have contributed to our journey. As we look to the future, we remain committed to upholding the values that have brought us this far and to embracing the opportunities that lie ahead. I am thrilled to share our excitement as we embark on an inspiring journey of bringing our strategic plan to life. The path ahead is illuminated with promise, and there is so much to anticipate and celebrate. Among many remarkable developments, we are entering our first year of the “Diploma with Distinction” program, in which students can uncover their passions and bridge classroom learning with authentic, purposeful actions within Merion Mercy and as part of our larger community. We also just introduced our dual enrollment program in entrepreneurship with the University of Delaware for this school year. This program not only empowers our students with the knowledge and skills needed for the ever-evolving business landscape but also offers them the opportunity to earn college credits while still in high school. And, as we reshape our Media Center into a dynamic Student Success Center, we are embracing a transformative vision. This center will serve as a hub of tailored support, with individualized and small group sessions conducted by our learning specialists. This space will also foster collaboration through small group projects, provide a serene environment for focused study, and house a dedicated Math Lab, reinforcing our commitment to academic excellence. With these initiatives and more, we are laying the foundation for a future brimming with growth, innovation, and endless possibilities. I invite each of you to continue to partner with us on this exciting journey as we work hand in hand to cultivate an environment where students thrive and dreams become reality. Once again, thank you for your unwavering commitment to our school community. Your contributions are invaluable, and we are truly grateful for the role you play in our ongoing success. In Mercy,

Marianne Grace Head of School 1

REPORT ON GIVING 2022-2023

EITC AND OSTC DONORS Merion Mercy is exceedingly grateful to the following individuals and businesses that made tax credit donations through the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) and the Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC) programs. We also extend our thanks for our partnership with Business Leaders Organized for Catholic Schools (BLOCS) for streamlining this process for our donors. This past fiscal year, 32 Pennsylvania businesses and individuals made generous gifts to MMA through these tax credit programs, amounting to $875,000 to support scholarships and financial aid. These donors were able to receive substantial tax credits while redirecting those tax dollars to provide needed funding for deserving Merion Mercy students. These tax credit gifts make a profound impact for students who would otherwise be unable to attend Merion Mercy Academy.
