Rec Center Events October 2019 October 14th - 25th: Extended indoor family swim hours are Monday -through Friday, 10:00 am until 8:00 pm. Flick-n-Float: October 19th from 6:00 8:00 pm. Writer’s Critique Club: October 25th from 4:30 - 6:30 pm. Writers of all genres, ages, and experience levels are welcome to participate in a monthly, two-hour, round-table feedback frenzy! Contact the Rec Center for more details. Parent’s Night Out: October 25th from 5:30 - 10:00 pm. Trunk or Treat & Pie Bake Off: October 26th from 1:00 – 4:00 pm. Join us for a pie baking contest (must be fall related) and trunk or treat! If you would like to decorate your trunk, please stop by the rec center and sign up! Drop in Basketball: Sundays from 2:30 until 5:00 pm

Drop in Volleyball: Mondays and Thursdays from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Drop in Pickleball: Wednesdays • 4:00 until 6:00 pm for advanced players • 6:00 until 8:00 pm for new/ beginning players AOA: Chair Yoga: Wednesdays at 9:30 am Pinochle: October 3rd & 17th at 12:30 pm Quilting Club: October 9th from 5:00 until 8:00 pm October 23rd from 9:30 am until 12:30 pm and 5:00 until 8:00 pm Mexican Train Dominos: October 10th & 24th at 12:30 pm Group Exercise classes are being added weekly. Developer News Phase 2 of The Shops Taking Shape: As many of you may have noticed, there is a lot of activity happening at The Shops at Meridian Ranch. Construction of the next building, approximately 17,000 square feet in Phase 2 is well on its way. Designed by YOW Architects’ Jonathan Whitaker, the architect for Phase 1, Phase 2 incorporates similar design elements as Phase 1, including the an additional lit “tower” at the south end of the new building. Phase 2 is on track for completion by the end of the year. Omelets Etc., family owned and operated by Juan and Robin Madera, will be opening their fourth location at The Shops. Negotiations are ongoing with potential new tenants. Stay tuned for more info!
