We aredelightedtoannouncetheresultsofthis SummerArtCompetition, themed Sportsand .Theresponsefromourlocalyoungartistswastruly inspiring, withentriesfullofcolour,energyandimaginationthatcapturedeverythingfromcricket on the greentopeacefulafternoonsspentreadingorcrafting.
Congratulations toourOverallWinner,OliviaTorres,whosebrilliantartworkisproudly featured on thefrontcoverofthisissue,togetherwiththeotherwinnersshown.Theirvibrantdepictionof community sportsnotonlyimpressedourjudgesbutperfectlyencapsulatesthespiritofsummer recreation inourvillage.
This competitionwasproudlysupportedbythe MeridenSports&RecreationalTrust whose ongoingmissionistopromoteandsupportsportsandrecreationalactivitiesthroughsmall local grants.Wehopethecompetitionandcoverfeaturewillhelpraiseawarenessofthe wonderful opportunities theTrustprovidestoclubsandgroupsacrossourcommunity.
